Forced data base repair is locking me out of the game

I have been watching on and off all day about 11 1/2 hours the green bar moving across the box. I have hi speed internet and the data base repair is never ending and so I can't start Trainz 2019. About 45 minutes ago I logged in to my account thinking that it could make a difference, but it is still pretending to be repairing the data base. I don't understand why we have to have these forced data base repairs anyway, if we have a problem, we can do a manual data base repair!

What was happening just before the repair started? An upgrade? an unexpected shutdown - provoked by Ctrl-Alt-Del or a loss of power? I don't recall ever having a repair start that wasn't triggered by something.

Internet speed has nothing to do with a database repair, it's all happening locally. The typical factors that effect a database repair are your computer's specs & the size of your collection of content.

Is the repair status window actually doing things during these 11 hours, or is it hung up somewhere? If it's hung up, I'd close the repair window & launch your own Extended repair (Ctrl+click on the rebuild database option in the menu).

I have never noticed why these data base repair sessions start, they seemed to me to be random and there is no way of preventing them. If I X them out and try to re-start my game, it just starts the repair over again until I let it run it's course. As I stated, the green bar keeps racing across the box and it says it is starting Trianz, waiting for data base repair.

I was thinking my next move would be to export my current good routes and sessions to CDP and then maybe accept the build update that I have been rejecting for a couple years.

My problem just vaporized !

I was going to do as suggested and try to launch my own Extended repair. I closed the game completely and re-started from scratch and low and behold it did the data base repair as usual in about a minute and now I am back in business.

I don't understand the statement:

" Internet speed has nothing to do with a database repair, it's all happening locally."

How can it repair locally? I assumed that if it found things to be wrong that then it was re-downloading things from the Trainz download station??? Otherwise, how would it revert the items that I modify to their originals??

Example: One of Sniper Wards repaints of a passenger coach, I substitute the KUID for the SAP passengers so I can load and unload at his stations. After a repair I have to go back and put the substitution back in.
