My last post was closed for being posted in the wrong subject and using the wrong words for the title.

I am sorry if this annoys you guys at trainz. Not trying to aggrivate.

I have just been hearing about a bunch of old Fury players coming here to search for answers reguarding the game or whatnot.

The reason I post this here and the reason that they are here is that the Fury forums have closed and there is no info or anything on either the website or anywhere for that matter.

While this, of course, is not your problem, it does serve as a problem to players who want to get back in touch with people they used to play with or just reminisce with people who actually know what they are talking about.

So please, I do not mean any offense to you guys, I just am an old Fury player. This way if one of them searches for "Auran" and gets directed here they will be able to get some information about where to go.

I was heckled about how what I posted before was an advertisement. I still do not understand what people intended by saying this. If you are here for Trainz, you needn't visit the site unless you are interested in Fury (or rather what Fury once was), but I know that the old players still are around somewhere and would like to give them somewhere to turn. I know you have had problems in the past with spam Fury posts.

Additionally I would like to offer my apologies to anyone who was offended or annoyed by Fury players posting here in the past. I just hope that what some did does not decrease your opinion of us as a whole.

Anyway, for the main point, a few of the top players have started up a temporary Fury forums site at www.furyliveson.freeforums.org.

If you are a Trainz player that has no interest in Fury whatsoever, I hope that you can just ignore this post and continue with your day as usual without leaving nasty comments or replies. This was not the intention of this post.

Sounds sensible to me. I'd like to think if ever the official Trainz forum disappeared I could leave a note somewhere saying where we had all gone.

Although I have no interest in Fury what so ever, I think this is an excellent idea and would like to see this made a sticky so it stays visible at the top and does not just sink down into the mire.

Edit, I have just read the locked thread that 7even referred to, and while he could of worded it better he was submitted to an unprovoked and infantile attack that ( unfortunately ) is becoming more and more frequent on these forums, not only do I think the mods are doing the right thing, I think they are not being harsh enough :(

Great idea, I paid $90 for Fury and it was free 2 weeks later, I went to open it up one night for a game and nothing happened, forum dissapeared too... I didnt know who to ask, I didnt even get an email to tell me it was going.. Great Service.

I dont suppose its gone 'underground' and we can still use it ???
 
sorry man, Fury went offline august 8th. I bought 3 copies myself. But as far as unstickying the post, over half of the members at FuryLivesOn found it by looking at this thread. One joined yesterday after seeing it. It is definately doing what I wanted to and hope that it will help more people find us.

Is there a reason that my post was unstickied? Someone just told me and I came here to see that it has been. There are still many players out there that haven't found us yet. Please Resticky it.

Not a very charitable outlook, what's the harm in helping other "AURAN" gamers to locate their new meeting place ?
Not as if you are paying for the space.

I agree with IC , Fury is dead , it is not Trainz , if Auran wants to set up a link for Fury fans so be it , otherwise let it rest in peace , it is time to move forward . IMHO it no longer warrants a 'stickey' on the Forum .

this post was the link to the player's haven. since auran won't put anything up officially i am trying to keep it alive using this post.

This is the Auran Trainz Forum, most 2/3 of us do not have Fury, I for one do not want Fury. We don't meet here to discuss Fury, advertise Fury nor do we even mention it most of the time. Here it is, Fury is dead always will be. We are here to discuss Trainz Railroad Simulator, and not to be mean or make you feel unwelcome but, If you are not here for Trainz, leave. If so concerned with Fury's well being [hard to be well when dead], start a website for Fury fans.

Just my personal thought...

Lets see, Trainz1.3, UTC, TRS04, TRS06, TC1,2,3 all dead like fury, as in NO support from Auran, maybe you are saying that 09 should be the only thing discussed on these forums.
And they have a Fury forum, that's what this thread is about, if you bothered to even read it, so Fury players can find it when they search the Auran site and end up in here.
But please post in here as proliferate as elsewhere Woody as it will keep bumping it back to the top :p

Oh and is every one of the numerous threads you have started to do with " Trainz Railroad Simulator " I think not.

I have just a little morning news for you. Remember that thread in Prototype Talk, "What to post in Prototype Talk" read it. All of my threads there have to do with Trains, not junk like Fury. My threads in other forums here also fit within the guidelines, maybe you should read the "what to post.." for this forum as well. Yes those older versions of Trainz are not supported by Auran, but Auran still makes the Trainz franchise. That means newer versions.
EA Sports is the maker of the Nascar franchise and every year they come out with the newest version of the game. Why? Because you have to because people are not going to play the 2006 season forever. Where I'm going with this is, Auran produces a new version to keep up to date and to show that Trainz is not dead. If all those versions were completely dead, we would not still have the 2004 and 2006 Download Stations, and all the techinical support forums on here. Does Fury have those, no. And I will say it again, we are not here for Fury. When you registered your serial number for access to this forum...was it the Fury serial...or the Trainz serial? Yeah it was the Trainz serial number which is why I say that all this Fury talk is completely off topic and inappropriate.

Wrong. You don't need to register your serial number to register to the forum. Fury might be off topic and inappropriate, you are just obnoxious in general.

It required me to register. Also, I'm not a jerk and you also would not know that because your above post was also your first which generally means you have not been on here very long so you would not know. Take a look at some of my finer comments on threads such as "North Central Colorado". I have a few people who agree with me on this, the few that happen to be established and regular members, so please before posting next time,
1. Look at both sides of the story.
2. Have some forums knowledge and experience.
3. Think about the facts, it always helps.
Hope to your comments are well thought out...

Why don't you shut up for a while or take your arguments to PM instead of spamming (clogging with unnecessary posts) this thread. I do believe that this thread is a good idea, it points the way to a site for Fury members so that they don't end up pestering people here on the Trainz forum. Since this thread was started I have not seen any threads by Fury players wondering what to do, so I assume that it helps.:D
