I get the impression that one of the built-in routes in TS2009/10 is not being discovered.

I refer to NORTHBAY COUNTY.

It is still the only narrow gauge route to have been included with Trainz and it comes complete with two narrow gauge systems, 24" and 36", interactive gold mines, a coal mine and some very nice interactive logging gear. Naturally it has the necessary locomotives and interactive rolling stock.

Apart from being nice to drive, it is also a good source of ideas and techniques. Check it out.

I do, frequently. In fact i run Slugsmasher's West Side shay 12 on it, along with bdaneal's two logger 0-6-2s frequently. Prowler's 2-8-0s and 2-8-2s sometimes show up on the passenger run and the trans-route supply freight. in fact, your SR&RL 2-6-2s often end up pulling the mine trains on the 24" gauge route! It's fun and, being straight out of the box, is often the benchmark i use to test new narrow gauge stuff. It's a really fun, interesting, and scenic route.

Actually I use it for time out / stress relief when I get a problem with the route I'm working on, for anyone who hasn't found it, it's well worth a look.

Didn't this come up in another thread recently as well? I remember telling one needs to turn the favorites off (in ts2010) to let it show up. :hehe:

Hey all,

That was one of my favourite narrow gauge routes when I first got TRS2006, I used a heap of D&RGW Narrow Gauge loco's on it, I even used G42 and nA Class on it, lol.

What I don't like about TS09+ was the slipping on steam loco's isn't realistic anymore, in TRS06 I'd stall a loco on the hill at 5% regulator, as the pressure starts to build the wheels have some slip for a sec then traction back, as the route had steep grades was a nice challenge to move loco's.

Earlier this year I made a e-spec for someone on facebook for the nA and G42, but I don't get the TRS06 slip effects

and it'll be there as I have 44088.

Hmm, in the route wimdow of trainz click on the yellow star above the column of stars before the routes titles. That's the way to switch off the favorite filter. A wealth of other routes will become visible amongst them Northbay County as well.
