Floating Containers

With the Husky stack 53' well cars, if you have two 48' containers on them, the top one will always be floating about a foot off the other. I assume this is some kind of scaling issue with the meshes, but I'd really love to know if it can be fixed. Or, is there is another set of realistically marked containers anywhere between 40 and 53 foot long that I can download somewhere, that will function properly? The ones included in the game are just bad in every way if you ask me. This issue doesn't occur with the 53' containers.

The containers are attached to attachment points on the mesh of the wagon. Pev has an attachment point maker which will add attachment points where ever you desire. You'll need to adjust the config.txt file to use the new points.

The other thing to do is ask the creator nicely if he can do you a version that works with the particular kuid container you are using.

I actually stumbled across a solution by accidentally putting two 48' semi trailers on the railcar, and they stacked with the wheels hidden, looking exactly like a pair of stacked containers.

Why not just use 40' cars?

I thought 48 & 53 ft cars were strictly for piggy-back semis. In the USA at least, look at the front side of a semi-trailer and most show the number 53.

I'm am using for container cars: TTX Econo by iceman2117, KUID 2:164988:30066:3, which are 40 footers, and they work just fine with stacked 40' containers.

Husky-stack and other well cars are designed for 53' containers, which are, if you think about it, just 53' semi trailers with no trailer frame. I'm not sure the real ones can actually carry trailers, considering the floor isn't solid.
