Flatcars with locomotive loads?

I have been seeing pictures around, particularly on USLW and SAXRT, with trains pulling flatcars with locomotives on them. Is this a new flatcar with a load, or a conversion of existing locomotives to rolling stock/flatcar loads?

I'd love to know, and if a conversion is necessary, how to do it. Thanks.

There are several loco scenery items on the DLS, these probably can be converted to a product to load on a flatcar. Why don't you ask the creator of the item to convert it to a product. It's not that hard to do, it just get tricky when you have to orientate the load to fit the traincar, it can be done.

Johnny, I think that would be difficult, since the Locomotives that would potentially be converted would be my 300-ish strong JR/USLW/K&L Locomotive Fleet. The freeware ones, maybe, but the payware ones, probably not. I know they did it somehow, because I'm seeing primer-unit GEVOs that couldn't have come from any place but JR.

I am one of two people that have the ES44 as loads. Yes the locomotives come from Jointed Rail. This was a effort where notes were passed between me and the other person. Sorry at this time there is no plans to release them or the details on how this was done.

Wow! I just finish checking out the information on how to do that, it seems to me that with a little practice, that it might be easy to learn. I sure do think that the truck loads are simply ' the cats meow'!
