Fixing AI to use the CORRECt route

I have a few switches in place the the AI always goes in the WRONG track.. I'm not quite sure why that is but they always do. I even set a directional marker but that does nothing.

Try placing a track mark (ex. drive to platform 3 via track mark 342)

Ah I do that but my ROUTE is fairly long and can be CONFUSINg at times so I try to add it between stations but I have switches between them so of course they switch tracks and then reswitch right before the station

Thats a good point hmmm. Try track prority marker and set them peridocly(SP) and pending how ambitious you are I would put them fairly close together. Along the track and the train should stay on it if you set the prority number to match the track meaning place a 1 track priority marker and set the consist to 1 as well and the train should follow the markers.

I'll try.. I just like to add the traffic on the route. I sperated it into 2 mainlines.. and they merge at one station and then enter the terminal.. FUN

If it confuses the creator, the AI doesn't have a hope in hell of understanding what you want it to do.

Remember the golden rule for anything to do with the AI...

You'll also need to use those direction arrows more times that you'd expect to use them...
