This is giving me so much trouble! There are these two fixed tracks next to each other and they've been there for a while now. I have decided to quadruplicate my route and these fixed tracks are in the way and WON'T DELETE!!!:'( I've tried everything:

Going to the objects tab and tried to delete them - Failed
Going to the tracks tab and tried to delete them - Failed
Deleted all track objects placed on them and then try to delete - Failed
Checked for any hidden rolling stock and then tried to delete - Failed
Searched the forums for answers - No success

This has stopped me right in my tracks of my quadruplication project.:(

Please help!!

Cheers, CityRailTrainspotter

Had the same headache once. Turned out the tracks were attached to a catenary crane (in the cranes config); they disappeared when I deleted the crane. Are your tracks attached to something?

Is it possible to save the route, go into CM, open the route for edit & delete the unwanted fixed track from the config. file ?

This should then have removed the track from your route next time you open it.

Go through your list again but this time try once in session layers and then in route layers. Have you locked a layer?

Can you add on a second piece of new FT track, and move them about, further away from anything interfering ?

Do they make a "Doink" sound when you click on them in the building assets tab/delete.

This is why i do Surveyor trackwork in TRS2006 ... no layers ... and transfer the completed TRS2006 route ino a higher version.

I have found that if you try to paste over a fixed track or portal basic, the track itself will be replaced, the red or green arrows will stay around forever! The only solution is to delete the baseboard. It's a bug in T10 & T12.

It may be worth copying a blank area of baseboard and pasting it - I believe I used this method once when I had a similar problem.

This problem is not new. I have seen it since 04. At that time you could delete it with the objects menu, but only in the main route. Today with layers things may be more complicated. If everything fails, you may have to delete the base board, but deleting the asset in CMP may be the way to go. Try everything and don't give up!

I second pasting blank baseboard on top, that worked for me once (but in TS2009). Might also be worth trying to erase it as a spline.

I have also had track still there after deleting the baseboard, so even that is not guaranteed!

If there's rolling stock on an adjacent segment, that might be causing your inability to delete the track segment.
