Hello,
In a current project I use a fixed-track asset (buildable) of my own making. It has four sets of "internal" attachments for invisible tracks. Just now I replaced it with an updated version by submitting the improved asset with the same kuid. Submit edits, as usual. The new version has two additional internal points for nicer curvature, but the endpoints to which the track in the outside world will be connected, are entirely unaltered.
What I find when I open the route in S2, is that the track splines do not show, though the spline points do. When I move the asset as a whole, the track splines appear in view. On closer inspection I find that they are "double": simply present in duplicate...
The track that was previously connected to the older version of the asset, is now disconnected. Well, that is not entirely new, it also happened in older Trainz, especially with rail/road crossings (mocrossing).
The outside track, however, does not want to be reconnected to the fixed-track asset.
The only way around it is to attach a new piece of track to it, and connect that with the track already present.
Almost unusable, in my opinion. This behaviour is just as poor as that of composite spline assets.
Regards,
Paul
