I was able to fix my F40PH and GP7/9 issues on my own once I figured out I could list the dependencies out and focus on the faulty dependencies.
In the case of the F40PHs, it was a DD40X cab that was faulty - I couldn't fix or find the faulty kuid, but was able to install a DD40X off the DLS and that fixed it.
The Blomberg Rusty Truck was the issue on the Geeps, and I similarly messed around until that was fixed.
I couldn't respond to the other thread because I lacked permission, so I'm posting my response (and thanks!) here.
