I'm calling the layout "Winter Hills", which is the imaginary county somewhere in the hills of the US somewhere. The county seat is Podunk Junction, a town of approx 50 people. The entire population of the county is probably about 500 or so. Once the county had many farms, it now only has one large farm, owned by Smitty and his family. Other industry is moving in, and Podunk Junction is looking forward to a growth sometime in the near future.

The above shots include a cabin in the wilderness area about 2 miles or so from Smitty's Farm, as well as Podunk Lake, a popular fishing spot.

cool

Thats a very nice start you have, the one thing about trainz is that over time your skills will improve, and you will begin making routes that even amaze yourself, very nice route though:wave:

Looking good Thunderchild177, Funny how latyouts looks rather good in Trainz, and where I look at my old HO model railway and doesnt compare anymore LOL.

Keep at it mate, look forward too seeing more pics as you progress along its designing.

Cheers

Trent

That looks really good, just remember, as you are doing now,
mixing the textures on the ground is good, and rotating the direction of the textures improves the realism :)
cheers!

Excellent start!

On to burntruss's comment, pressing [ or ] on the texture tab should allow for rotation while plotting the texture. Sometimes it helps area that can only use one texture.

It's not finished as an entire layout, but I am releasing it as a module. It has a farm, a tiny little town, 3 industries, a McDonald's and a truck stop. There are also highway connections and rail connections to attach to the next baseboard.

I submitted it just a few minutes ago. The name is Winter Hills and the kuid will be MAP KUID: 451039:100020 when it's approved.
