Since you have added the canopy at Caernarfon, are you going to be rebuilding harbour station? I know this has been asked before, but I thought that it would be odd to have the canopy at Caernarfon but not the rebuilt harbour station.

Route is looking great by the way!

The canopy came before the rebuilt station at portmadoc by 2 years or so it doesn't need the rebuilt harboure station as well as the canopy
thanks

Looks like Caernarfon is about to get a fairly major rebuild too! I think you might have to put your foot down and choose a year for the route to be set, otherwise every time you think it's nearly done the real F&WHR will build something else...

Yes, just been looking at the proposed plans. Think it will have to be a cut off of this year. New Harbour Station Layout although I'm not sure how to reproduce the signalling! Not sure there is anything usable that will fit, looks like it's going to have to be one off signals.

Yes, the signalling could be tricky. The shunt disk is pretty standard as are the position lights, albeit with route indicators; I'm sure that there must be a wall mounted banner repeater out there somewhere, however the semaphores will probably need to be completely bespoke. The idea is that they are replica McKenzie and Holland semaphores with a few modern adjustments. The originals only had a red spectacle plate and therefore showed a red light for on and white for off when there was no spectacle plate in front of the light. The replicas have LEDs which go green when the signal is pulled off. Having qualified and worked Porthmadog Box a couple of times I can't see how it would be possible to replicate the scheme exactly in Trainz (I've had a go myself), but with the new version of Trainz adding an interlocking element the situation may be able to improve.

Yes I think I may need to use a bit of creative license for now!
Incidentally have just uploaded a few more bits that will be required for the route, single storey cottages, more to come, some miscellaneous buildings, couple of sheds and some route specific buildings.

Yeah you do need to think of year to base the railway on but still you are doing very well and I'm loving all the progress and I can't wait for the finished product as well as see some pictures of over parts of the route you might have updated over the time being

Keep up the good work Clam1952
