Fed UP

I was gonna write that almost word for word, but I've been accused lately of being abusive and offensive so I figured I would tone it down:hehe:

But since he is running 2009 he'll probably see the same performance between the two, and graphically they're pretty similar. Of course if he really wants stunning graphics and realism, he needs two things 1. TS12 and 2. A computer capable of running TS12 if he doesn't have both those things he wouldn't be happy, who knows maybe he wouldn't be happy anyway:confused:

Cheers!

Well, * I HAVE * been accused (and convicted) of being abusive and offensive.. Many will tell you how I feel about that. Don't let anyone curtail or cow you into holding back on your freedom of speech. They don't like it, there is a thing called the ignore list (I am on many) if they don't want to see your opinion..

hmmm i updated my TS2010 to some new patch and i the cars started driving in my roads at about 300km an hour and i cant select trees and cant move the existing trees on my layout.... i gave up and i brought railworks2.... its fun to play on but eh.... what ever....... i havent played trainz for a while... you need a computing degree to play it...... its always such a mess

If the build is above 44088, then there is a chance that faulty content may be the problem, as there is no compatibility mode in the multiplayer beta build(s).

Most of the time, issues are usually either due to the user's system not being configured correctly, or due to not having the latest patch/drivers etc.

Then why are you still posting here? There not trolls on the RW2 forums?

Because maybe they won't "play" with him because he didn't have a computer degree

You know as well as I do they are a snotty bunch over there.:hehe:

I think "its fun to play on but eh.... what ever....... i havent played trainz for a while" really says it all actually.

With that kind of dedication, desire and patience I'm sure this youngster will grow into a fine upstanding adult.

Why are you always so offensive? Your posts really are pathetic.
There is nothing wrong with Railworks or the forums. Trainz is an excellent Sim, so is Railworks. The Trainz forums are excellent, so are the Railworks forums. If you can't write without attempting to make others seem two inches tall, then do us all a favor and SHUT UP.

Some new patch

Multiplayer beta apparently has a lot of problems;

http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=71788

I've gone back to 44088, and I had to start my route all over again because most of the splines that were placed in 46170 wouldn't show up at all in 44088. :n:

One other item for those having trouble getting TS2010 to run at all - the specs don't say anything about it, and trainzdiag.exe fails to check for it, but any build of TS2010EE will not run unless you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2 installed. Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs - read the list and see if .NET Framework 2.0 or 2.1 is installed.

I don't really see that as a lot of problems for a beta Sniper...

Even as a public beta, it is still a very stable platform. Particularly compared to the TS2009 public beta's IMO...

As to saving routes under the newer build. This has always been the case. Under the newer build, we made improvements to the map formats (bug fixes, performance improvements, stability improvements, etc). However, as 44088 is an older build, it doesn't include these improvements, and as such a map created for the newer build (which has it's own content build number as a note - this is done so as to stop the content from automatically loading into older versions) will not load into older builds.

The only time this has worked, from memory, was with TRS2006 (routes in TRS2006 would work in TRS2004 SP4), however it's been a long time since I've done anything with TRS2006.

It is for this reason that you should always make a backup of your content before trying anything 'new' (such as editing in a newer build).

Hee-hee, that was the problem - I installed 46170 intending to check out multiplayer (which I never did get around to, too many irons in the fire) and it SEEMED like it was a stable build, so I left it on there. When I got hit with the muse to start a new route I started it in 46170 without thinking about it, and everything seemed to go fine (except for the missing numbers on rulers) until I got around to creating a complex passenger station and using the copy paste tool to place a bunch of them. Anyway after several false starts I should have something ready for beta in a week or two.

Don't try that last one in anything other than Trainz, nothing else has the same versatility in the AI traffic subroutine. :Y:

See what I mean OverlordNZ all I do is state the obvious and I'm a bad bad man.

If the poster I was responding to can't write except in "teen speak" and goes out of their way to trash Trainz, I'm going to make the obvious comment about how they write combine that with what they wrote and sum it up neatly that we really need to consider the source.

Because I'll tell you what geoff, when you become the sole owner of Auran/N3V and thus this forum, then you can go around and be as offensive as you obviously are being telling people to "SHUT UP"

Until then might I suggest pounding something?:hehe:
