I cannot get cmp to work AGAIN

for 5 days NOW have been trying to download from dls and when cmp opens it says updating the trainz asset database and also checking user name and password and rego etc............please wait. nothing happens

also days left on fct has NOT changed for about 5 days ,it has been on 274 days left and has not changed.

Is this problem because of issue at trainz/ auran ???????????????
 
If it's endlessly checking username and password, take a look to be sure your firewall isn't blocking CMP. And, generally if you have an issue with the DLS, going into your Planet Auran profile and resetting your password (you can even use the same one) will refresh your profile.
 
It generally take @ +/-5 min to Update Trainz Database, and you have to then click "OK" & "Save", in the can not find UN & PW error notice.

Sometimes when I click on the TRS2006 Start, as well as the TRS2006 Manage Content (CMP), it takes @ 5 minutes to open up...be patient and wait for your machine to start up processes.

The alowable exception rules that you enter into your and antivirus firewall are all in "Auran/TRS2006/Bin" (TRS2006 Launcher.exe, and TRS2006 CMP.exe)

I think I remember having the same problem earlier. ct_krogen is probably correct. I recommend an extended database repair on this one.
 
On the log-in thing, go to CMP File > Settings > Internet and delete your username, password and ID. Save and exit. Restart CMP, re-enter the details manually (don't let any fields auto-fill). Save.

That will force a refresh which might help...

I AM GETTING MORE FED UP WITH THIS
WHY PAY FOR A FCT WHEN YOU CAN'T DOWNLOAD ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:n:
 
You don't say what version of Trainz you are running. If it's TRS06, it would sometimes stick with the 'updating...' message. Pressing escape gets out of it. If it's a later version, and waiting a few hours doesn't sort it out, then I can't add anything to the suggestions above.
