Farm Equipment in Trainz

Does anyone know where I can find tractors, combines, sprayers, grain trucks, and other farm equipment?

I have old tractors, new tractors, JD tractors, John Deere tractors, (same thing but abbreviated), Farm tractors, plows, grain trucks, grain wagons, hay baler, automated hay baler, Automated farm JD tractor.

I think most of them came with 2010EE and the rest I obtained from the DLS. Doing a keyword search while in surveyor doesn't show all farm equipment available. One needs to look through the list to find it then memorize the names, or write them down in the Trainz notebook.

Good luck,
Randy

There are also tractors and such in TRS2006, plus farms, farm buildings and a couple of farm packs, plus animals galore.

The fact that this is such an international hit is one of its beauties, but also one of its banes, as you have to go thru every object to see what it really is. If I were to limit myself to just United States objects, I would lose out on some of the really awesome European and Australian creations. But it can be hard to remember some of these assets whose names are either Spanish, German or just odd combos of letters and numbers.

My advice: do as I do and don't just limit yourself to US content. Even if a tractor (many is TRS2006 are listed as "traktor") has a definite German look to it shouldn't matter much, especially since most farms are well removed from the tracks, and thus would be viewed at a distance. I don't care where an object was created, as long as it fits my era of choice.

What I did was go through the whole list of objects in surveyor, writing down their name and description. It took all day.Yes there are bunches of farm equipment and more than enough to make a Industry out of it. Here's a tip; down load some European routes, and open the route in surveyor and make note of the goodies you find!

Reading your statement made me laugh Johnny because that is exactly what i do all the time. I get much more enjoyment out of creating my own routes than I do playing on someone else's. I just downloaded the animated cows that were described above and put them in my TRS2006 Colorado Valley layout. Love them.

I need to do that, too....so much time wasted...while working on section A of my route I inveriably find something perfect for section D. But I am not about to shift over to section D, cuz I am focused on A. But by the time I get around to D, I can't for the life of me remember what that object was named

Airtime, do those work with 2006? Ya, I know they have "traktor" in 2006...thing is, they suck! I live on a real farm and they look nothing like the real deal...and the sound on the deere is inacurate!!!! Sorry I am being so pick, I just want this route to be the best it can be! Also, any combines?

I don't know as I don't use Trainz 2006 anymore, which in my opinion was the best Trainz, Auran ever made before they tinkered, I only got rid of trainz 2006 because of the sound of air brakes all over the map.

I'm almost certain they should work in Trainz 2006, as they were built for the trainz simulators, it does no harm to download one CDP and import it, if it doesn't work, then just delete it, no harm done, but at least you know if they work or not...

I do know that the Animated Fish that swim might not show up in Trainz 2006, as this was built for Trainz 2009 and was made later, as for everything else, give it a go and see what happens...

As for combines, I'm not too sure, search the web address and see what you find...http://neoklai.ucoz.ru/load/0-1

Sorry I couldn't help you any further, but let us know how you get on...

If it is combines you are after, boweavel has done New Holland, Massey Ferguson, and Case combines. Look for kuids 41426:27008,27009 & 27010.
Also idiotbouy has done a John Deere combine kuid 50567:27015.
Hope this helps

awesome! Keep the kuids/equipment comming! I need a whole fleet of farm equipment for this route! Airtime, thanks for the quick reply, I did notice that air brake bs, but I upgraded my sound card and that took care of that!

I've got a mountain area that needs some attention. I'm looking for some Big Horn Sheep and/or Mountian Goats and I need a few elk and/or mule deer. Any help? I've been thru the dls but not luck. Thank you in advance

........Also, any combines?

You could try searching on related words like 'harvester'.

I made a couple of versions of a New Holland combine harvester and they are on the DLS. My author ID is 68213

Also remember on the DLS pages you can search the 'Description', not just the name of an asset.

I wonder if 40200 is still looking for combines, Dean; Wyonate bumpted a 3 year old thread here. [Not that I'm criticizing the bumping; I've been known to do that myself. Why start a new one when there's a perfectly good older one lying around in disuse, which can used instead?].

Wyonate, my usual detective methods do not turn up where anyone has yet made mountain goats, big horn sheep, or mule deer for Trainz. Better luck, though, is to be had in the case if elk; Lotharhake and Brummermam each uploaded an elk [No trainz related-content, but I cannot resist linking to PG-13 link, <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wcqvFCR4NA>]; search for the German spelling, "Elch". There are also a couple of moose on DLS, and a while I didn't find mule deer, a number of instances of deer on DLS, which placed far enough away from the camera, might well pass for mule deer.

Wyonate bumped a 3 year old thread here.

You're right, I didn't see that. A bit strange to ask for animals under a thread about farm equipment though!

Well as for sheep, I recently made some 3D merinos. The male has curly horns but I don't know if it counts as a big horn sheep. Probably not.
