Farm Equipment in Trainz

I wonder if 40200 is still looking for combines, Dean; Wyonate bumpted a 3 year old thread here. [Not that I'm criticizing the bumping; I've been known to do that myself. Why start a new one when there's a perfectly good older one lying around in disuse, which can used instead?].

Wyonate, my usual detective methods do not turn up where anyone has yet made mountain goats, big horn sheep, or mule deer for Trainz. Better luck, though, is to be had in the case if elk; Lotharhake and Brummermam each uploaded an elk [No trainz related-content, but I cannot resist linking to PG-13 link, <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wcqvFCR4NA>]; search for the German spelling, "Elch". There are also a couple of moose on DLS, and a while I didn't find mule deer, a number of instances of deer on DLS, which placed far enough away from the camera, might well pass for mule deer.

Thanks! I was waiting for one of the young kids to get mad for bumping it :hehe: ... Shift+R improves the quality of this image. CTRL+F5 reloads the whole page. but I was willing to take that risk haha, I ran google search and this popped you so, like you said, no poion in starting a new lol. I did find a few deer that I think will work. I think I could use a couple moose. I'll just find a good area to build a swamp. Thanks again!! Btw, FunnY link! An Elk, I mean Anne Elk seems to know her stuff on elk, I mean Dinosaurs lol

Can we have farms and trees like in this picture in Trainz?

Looking at the trailer at <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFKH2o0chPo>, about 3 minutes in, I'd say the answer is "yes, we can.", though perhaps not with the latest version you have registered. If the content is not yet quite up to the same standard as in the screen shot, I submit it is because the citizen creators have not yet mastered all of the fine details of the the current standards. Also, just for curiosity's sake, are you comparing apples with apples here? Is your war game of the same vintage as your most recetnly registered version of TS?

Intersting thing is that the game (http://worldoftanks.com/) uses the same technology of SpeedTree what latest version of Trainz. However, the trees in WoT look much better. Also, on the same computer the game runs much smoother, despite there are 30 players and more detailed maps. I guess the new version of Trainz is just the old product sold in a new package. This is why I stopped buying new versions - I found that they suffer from all old problems plus they introduce thousand of new ones and nobody cares to fix them. I am sorry to say this, but I believe Trainz finally hit the rail end.

What's couldn't be duplicated in the World of Tanks scene is the trees and bushes. The farm buildings and windmill could found of equal quality usually by third party creators. Trainz Speedtrees are crap and a lot of 3rd party stuff isn't much better. I have TRS2010 and TRS12 and I won't be buying any future releases because of the poor quality of trees and poor frame rates. I doubt that N3V will do anything more than serve up the same old formula for the next release. I have air combat sims that have up to 32 very high poly planes in the air using far greater viewing distances than Trainz with ground and rail traffic and reflective realistic water. Far greater frame rates and far smoother than Trainz. The coal route in TRS12, lucky to get 5-10 fps even reducing draw distance to 1800m and driving in cab view. Using a recommended specs PC that's a joke.

Actually, what I'm looking for is some farm equipment with a covering of snow. Don't imagine there's much of that around?
