Hello!!

I have an advice for AURAN to make their trainz best which is very far away from that , now.

Suppose You have a Mountainous Wallpaper, You have a tool inbuilt in trainz known as "2D to 3D" . You just drag or locate the wallpapers in the window "2D to 3D" and select a section on baseboard and click on RUN. NOW THINK OF WHAT WILL BE DONE

YES

You have your wallpaper in trainz baseboard with the same mountainous view.

IMAGINE what will you do with it!!!!!!!!!!

Already exists, although not quite as simple, CCP makes it easier than it has been in the past though.

Hi,

Lovely idea, but I fail to see how the software can read the 2D image and know what 3D info it can provide and then create the scenery to fit the image.
A flat image has no info about any depth, we as humans have in our brains a way to read depth out of an image, but how can that be programmed, and, do every ones brains read the same depth out of the image. In fact, that is something I will now ponder on for ages, will all humans read the same image the same way... :)

If Auran was able to pull that one of, I buy it as a separate product, feed images I have of structures into it, and get scaled models out of it, way cool, and way simpler then trying to draw/make them my self. :)

Or maybe I read the whole post wrong, and you talk about using a 2D image as a backdrop in a 3D scene as the poster above me talks about.
A good thing for helping create distant mountain feels. :)

There are several videos on YouTube that show how to create mountains. The "Dispalcement" templates will create a hill or mountain, depending whether you have more or less sensitivity dailed into the terrain tool tab.

Using a really wide spline such as Quad UK track, you can create mountains and valleys using the "Smooth Spline" tool.
