F7 Reskin thread.

Think again mate, your not alone:hehe:

The reason why I'd like to see this livery is because I saw a model railway route at the AMRA at Sandown, Victoria in March (yes, its made in Oz) And i thought of replicating it into Trainz, so some D&RGW stuff would be nice, especially the F7's hauling freight.

Cheers
Timo

The F3's, F7's and F9's didn't only haul freight, they also hauled passengers, especially on the Prospector, later when the Alco PA/PB/PA sets turned out to be less than reliable, you also found F units pulling the Califronia Zephyr, in later years, the 5771 and two B units were the main power pulling the RGZ, (Rio Grande Zephyr) until Amcrash took over in 1983.

Of course you will excuse me for beleiving that rail passenger service in the US should be done in private enterprise!

Hey guys, awesome stuff you guys can acheive:)

Now, I have tried my hand at this F7 reskinning malarky and and I wll say this, its not my thing. So, would anyone with the time and talent like to take on the livery of this beauty?

I was suprised to see that there wasn't one anywhere (or at least where I have looked) So if anyone is interested, just rasie their hand :D

Cheers
Timo

I Know Timo, I have been trying to get someone to do that for sometime myself, it doesn't even have to be F9 5771, it can be any of the F7's, would also love to see it done in the black and yellow scheme as well!

A few things that I have finished up....

Yay EX RDG FP7s repainted into SEPTA's circus scheme. Can I get a favor and ask for a non weathered one? (I have never seen them that weathered before.) The entire push pull train was set to be painted one car at a time, but it derailed with an EXRDG GP30 leading, so they decided to run RDCs for a time and just paint it all in one go.

All 3 of the push pull units survive today, though only two of them run. And they are all in RDG paint again.

Hey Jade, the 4371 engine that goes along with the pack is completely clean. Do you want me to lighten up a little on the other two locos?

Well, i thought i'd make a little contribution to this thread. This was made for me by hert, and big thanks to him for that:wave:. A Missouri-Kansas-Texas (MKT) 1950's era paint scheme F-7 AA lashup.

Thought I'd give this thread new life:

Been working on a WP F7 in 'All-Over' freight orange or whatever its called. Here's the first part of the project...

WP 419-A helps out a trio of D&RGW F units on a freight bound west for California
