For all those that missed it, I just saw an ad on History Chan (140) that they are re-running the 1st edition, Coal Train in PA on Sunday at 10pm (EST).
Was a decent one...just wish they didn't edit it so stupidly thinking someone wouldn't notice the problems with it. For example right before they said "and here we are arriving in Baltimore" They showed some NJT trains in clips that they must have taken on from later in the trip, and just randomly put them there, unless NJT made some sort of adjustment to there schedule:hehe: They should have also focused a little bit on the surronding commuter RRs as well, that run on the same line. MARC,VRE,SEPTA,NJT,MN,SLE,MBTA etc...because they play a huge role in how Amtrak has to keep track of the Acela and make sure it doesn't crash into a low speed commuter. Another bone to pick...why did he have to stay in the power car during the whole show? Except for the short period that he was in the shop in DC...I would like to have seen what it's like from a "passengers" perspective of riding on it,as well as what the conductor does.
Hi,
The show is OK,but the Guy that stars and explains things is bit of a tool.I could do without the extreme gesturing. He needs to calm down a bit!My two Cents worth.Take care all and Happy Holidays,Randy
