You should be able to do it.

In Surveyor 2.0, if you are using TRS22 PE or Plus, use the marquee tool and draw an area. When the options icon pops up, choose add grid and choose the resolution.

You can also do this Surveyor Classic.
Click on the edge where you want to add in a baseboard
Click on topology tool
Click on the add baseboards tool
Pick your resolution. I think it defaults to 10 m, I can't remember.
And you'll get your grid extension.

yep that is what i normally would do. this time i get the grid but i can only see it from the satellite view. i can even paint the grid but down level it isn't there. i am still on rs 2019 build 117009. i kept tinkering with it and finally got a grid paint and then i could bring the grid up to the level desired.
between this and the google thing with payware it is getting frustrating. like i really need more engines. hah ha
thank again john

i saw a nice set of superliners (train store) but to get them you have to join a club and if later you don't want to stay in the club you will lose the downloads? well being on fixed income that really doesn't fit in the budget. oh well per rock superliners are just fine.
thanks again john.

I'm glad I could help. Things can get weird with Trainz that are completely unexplainable. I think this is due to there being two ways of doing things in the same program instead of two different sets of code. It's like having two different motors that share the same transmission and plugs but are not quite compatible with each other and sometimes interfere causing problems.

Yeah, the N3V version is part of the Plus series. It is a subscription that runs about $13.00 a month, and yes if you cancel then the content is locked. but is available if you sign back up. Anyway... Peter's Superliners and the rest of his Amtrak equipment are really nice and I use it all the time. It's textured nicely and isn't overly built so that it kills framerates. I wish other content creators followed his lead.

Are you taking about the Amtrak Superliners in Plus rather than ones that work in non-Plus versions? I had a free year of Plus, but it expired so I lost access to those Superliners for now. Also, there is a function in Plus where you can mass delete baseboards, but I would have to buy a Plus subscription to use it, and once a route is saved in Plus it isn't backwards compatible so I would have to keep paying for Plus every year to be able to use the route saved in Plus. The route would not work in a lower build like Trainz 22 PE. I'm sticking with 19 and 22 PE for now.
