Всем привет!
Hi everyone!
みんなさんこんにちは!
My name is Oleg K, but you can call me Ray (for English people) or Hikaru (for Japanese people). I play Trainz since my 10 years old of age, now I am 15 years old. I wanted to join the forum in my 11 years old but I was on other forums which were mostly Russian. I rejoined the forum now due to DLS problems and inactivity. I live in Ukraine.
I am mostly interested in Japanese subways right now, but when I was under 13, I was interested in former USSR subways, in Prague Metro and Budapest Metro. From 11 to 14 I was interested in NYCTA subways.
I build maps for Trainz since 11 years old and have a good experience.
Can anybody collaborate with me for building fictional subway maps and making trainsets?

Hello Oleg or Ray if you want, and welcome to Trainz. I don't do subways but I'm sure you'll find others on these pages who do. If you have any images of routes you made, show a few and that might spark an interest.

スクリンショットは、どうぞ。
Here are the screenshots. These are my route I am developing currently, but I can say my route developing chronology and my age when I did it.

Here is the chronology:
Kiev Children's Railway aka Kiev Pioneer Railway - 11-to 13, now abandoned due to other person is developing it and now released.
Sanok Metro - 12, now abandoned due to extremely curvy rails
Kirovsk-Anastasievsk Metro - 13, now abandoned due to many haters
Some other maps - abandoned except RCMETRO, that you can found onto my abandoned website - www.trs-trancity.ucoz.ua (site is in Russian)

They don't look that bad. I wouldn't worry too much about what other people think of your work. You should make them to please yourself. if other people like them too, that is a bonus. If they don't like them, that is only their opinion.

As well, just because someone else is working on a similar project, there is nothing wrong with you doing one too. It will be done from your point of view and you will include the things that interest you. Only if you try to make an exact replica of a prototype route could anyone criticize differences but remember, this is a simulator, we simulate the real thing, we don't make an exact copy.

You can of course abandon a project but do so because you lose interest in it. The nice thing about Trainz is that abandoned projects can always be restarted at a later date if you become interested in them again. As well, it is perfectly possible to work on several routes at the same time. That way it is easier to stay interested as interest in each one waxes and wanes, hopefully not all at the same time.
