What is it that is saying "Invalid content"? Are you downloading via your web browser or through CMP?
Is it just sessions or is it occurring on any asset you try to download? Your message header says "everything and I mean everything" but your message content just says "sessions"

Downloading from either browser or in game downloader is the same. if i try to download directly from the game it says" error ######## content is invalid." putting it in DLC cart note says invalid content.
Firstly, I would avoid using the DLS download cart as it does not seem to work for Trainz 2009 and later - or at least I have never got it working.
I have never seen this particular error message before so I am going through some possibilities here.
Have you tried using the Download (FTP) option? I used it a few hours ago and it worked perfectly.
The FTP option uses your web browser and the FTP download system (built into just about all web browsers - but I do not know about Chrome) to copy the .cdp files to your browsers download folder on your hard drive. You then import it/them into Trainz using CMP (i.e. File --> Import CDPs).
If you are trying to download a file that was uploaded today (and we have issues with the international dateline coming in here) then you will have to use FTP to get it as CMP will give you a "?" symbol for the file and tell you that the file cannot be found.

After reading your post I tried the download cart again and, amazingly, it worked - for the first time in years. It seems that they have changed the interface since I last tried it (or is my memory becoming that bad) and that may have made the difference this time.

Your memory hasn't faded! It didn't work for me either until pretty recently. Something must've been fixed.

OK, I downloaded the UP DD35A unit (and the B unit) yesterday using the download cart for the first time in years without any problems.
Have you tried the Download Helper with a single file download?

Was able to download .cdp file via ftp thank you.
the only thing i can locate that might equate with a content manager is the content button which is on the opening screen with the start button and others. essentially the splash screen when you start the game. however pressing the content button only closes the game out and nothing more. hopefully I am missing something somewhere. thanks again
