Euphod has inspired me

leeferr

thanks for the memories
Looking at all of the nightmode buildings that Ed has put up on the DLS has inspired me once more. I'm planning on upgrading some of my existing content to include a nightmode and build some more stuff that strikes my fancy. Here's a couple of screenshots of my Starview Motel, one during daylight and one in nightmode.

I've uploaded it to the DLS and should be available before too long. I've added the 'No Vacancy' sign since the original so the 'Vacancy' will be turned on at night.

If you are the point of drawing inspiration from me Mike, then you have truly reached the bottom of the inspirational barrel!:D

That being said, members love night mode, and anything you apply it to will be gratefully received, and downloaded in great numbers.

The motel looks fantastic, thanks for all that you do!

Inspiration can come from unexpected sources sometimes.:hehe:

I really do want to thank you for giving me the inspiration to start upgrading and creating again to do some nightmode stuff. I'll probably start by upgrading some of my existing content to include nightmode, but I'll probably throw in some new stuff here and there.

Merry Christmas to you and your sister.

Hallo,
thats great!!! I like your content and it would very great to see it including nightmode.
But I would like to recommend to go a step further.
If you just include season change into your very nice content, would make a lot of people like me even more happy!!!!

Mostly you just need to reskin your creations getting a snow version from it. If you want to put icicles onto as weel you off course would need an extra mesh.

See the following screens to get a glimpse how great season change looks like. If you want to go for it, I could provide some help. Or just ask Euphod I already told him how it works.

Of course everything also works with nightmode. :)

Your's TUME :)

I'll give it some thought. I'm building these for TS2009. Does TS2009 support season changes?

Unfortunately season change has been invented within TS2010 in conection with the Speed Trees. Therefore it would not work in TS2009 as far as I know.
But if you want to go for it, you could just create two versions of your content - one for TS2009 and one for TS2010.

I'll definitely consider it. Not a lot of time right now though.
In the meantime, here's the next upload.: 202 College St

It will work with SP4, unlike the SpeedTrees. I've tried some of those buildings, they're interesting. McGuireL's textures also work with season changes on TS2009 SP4. I think everything from 2010 but the SpeedTrees will work with 2009 SP4.

Ah, Mike...so glad to see you're still chugging along, even late this Christmas Eve! Your content is fantastic (snow textures or not), and it's kind of you to continue your freeware releases.
As for me, my children have gone back to their new home with their mother and her new husband, and it's actually very sad for me. They had a great "pre-Christmas" here, and enjoyed their presents. I am glad they spent Christmas Eve with me, and had a great meal with all the trimmings, and opened their presents this morning...or, rather yesterday morning. I miss them so...

I'm just waiting to get all my files transferred, as I have to reload XP once again...to the C drive this time!

You have been a good friend for quite some time, and it brings me cheer to see you still contributing to the community. These inconsequential Internet friendships may seem silly to some, but to those in my current position, they are vital to life.

May God richly bless you and yours, and Merry Christmas, and Happy new Year!

Thank you for your kind words. I've been going through a pretty rough time the past year and I'm afraid that I let it spill over into my Trainz world. I saw the error of my ways and wanted to start contributing back to the community again. I want to thank all for sticking with me. Although we've never met, I consider you a friend too and thoroughly enjoy reading your posts. Internet friendships can be rewarding. My wife has made some friends with an on-line game that she plays and they speak quite regularly on the phone and through skype (I think that's what it's called).

I'm glad that you had a nice visit with your family. I had to work Christmas Eve, but the kids are coming over this morning for Christmas, but we won't have much time as I have to go back to work today.

Merry Christmas to you Ed and if you ever make it down to the Nashville area, let me know as I'd like to to shake your hand for your continued and solid support.

Wishing you all the best and may God bless you and your family too.

Mike
