Weathering

I love all your work purchased some great engines from you. love the freeware top quality. But 1 suggestion when you put out a engine It would be great if you had a companion weathered one. I try to make my routes very detailed a realistic and with the t2 next gen trainz in the works it looks like detail will be taken to a new level. I would even pay a little extra or a unit that's been around awhile. Lets face it a new engine only looks new for a couple of days. example the rs27's. Thanks for letting me comment I can just imagine how great you engines will look in T2.
 
What would be the odds of seeing a PVR ACe or GEVO, sort of like how Arkansas and Missouri grabbed up the EMDX units?

That is a CF7. Santa Fe did a rebuild program, turning their F units into CF7s, with the 'C' standing for the shops that the rebuild was done: their Cleburne, Texas shops. They have obviously became popular with shortines. The CF7 is also one of my favorite locomotives.

I'd have to say, Jointed Rail should see there are quite a few interested in the CF7 units, hint... hint... hint. The rounded cab version, I believe, has remnants of F unit cab intact, and was suppose to be a cheap solution:

Here's the Santa Fe version info, from wikipedia...


  • Unit Nos. 2649–2472 initially received rounded cab roofs (which, by preserving the contour left over from the F-unit roof, were expected to reduce costs — instead, it was found that the custom-fitted cab doors required by this arrangement were not economical, and many of the units eventually were modified with angled roofs), and Nos. 2471–2417 featured angled cab roofs from the onset;
  • Unit Nos. 2649–2614 were outfitted with 2-stack exhaust systems, and Nos. 2613–2417 were equipped with 4-stack exhausts; and
  • Most units converted beginning in 1973 had air conditioning systems installed at the Cleburne facility; eventually all CF7s received cab air conditioners.

And indeed, I do have the CF7 I built years ago still sitting in my mesh folder as a reminder...

It's funny how advanced that really was considering my abilities at the time, I planned for lots of alphas, spinning fans, and arn. We'll definitely have that when I get around to building a new one!
 
Well since we are all still wishing away, Simulatortrain I would love to see the GP30's make a comeback. BN and BNSF GP39 models!

If you don't want to give me an AC4400CW, how about a CP ES44AC or maybe a CP SD90MAC?

You you be ever so kind to give me a Boeing 737 fuselage transport car? I see these cars go by my school in Renton almost everyday day & it would mean a lot to me if I could run the Boeing train myself. And could it have the "JR" quality? That would make it even better. Please & thank you.
