Cotton Belt B36-7B 7771. SSW B36-7 7771 was rebuilt without a cab following a wreck. 7771 was rebuilt as the SP's only cabless locomotive since the days of F-units and DD35s! It was placed in service as a B36-7B on May 1st, 1982.

I would really love this unit since it is so rare. I think others would like this one too.

Whats the story behind these? I noticed they have ditchlights, are they part of a museum collection or something?

You're correct. The Southern locomotive is owned by the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth, Georgia, though it is on loan to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in running condition. I've ridden behind it once or twice too. As the Norfolk and Western, I would assume the Virginia Museum of Transportation, home for Norfolk and Western 4-8-4 #611 and 2-6-6-4 #1218.

I think they only released the Conrail predecessor and ATSF models, but I thought I remembered reading something about a high hood model being reworked. Not really sure since all their new stuff has been gone since April or May now.

Cool thanks for the info. Im excited to see the 611 is going to be running again! I rode behind it once...well kind of, my mom was pregnant with me when they rode it. Thats my reason for loving trains lol :hehe:

I think you should finish the Western Maryland 734 first like the one posted on Facebook.
