Those are standard EMD control stands, not the ones in the Reading units. They had a special stand that was centered in the cab and was usable from both sides. Since it took up more room than the normal stands, the front of the cab had to be built out to make more room. I found some drawings in an SW1500 manual, so go ahead and check our screenshot thread... :p
 
And I'd like love to see the HLCX, NS, and Rail America GP40X's as well (made my 645F sounds off of a RA GP40X. They still need a bit of work).

Those TAs are interesting, they are halfway in between E units and F units. They are identity challenged.

ATSF and BNSF! Don't forget them! They still use their GP40X's quite often. In fact, just a few months ago, I caught BNSF 3033 (An Ex-ATSF GP40X).
