While teetering on the edge of blaspheme by saying I'm not a NS fan, but that is a nice looking paint job.

But what significance is the red for the Roanoke built units and blue for the Juniata built units (if there is any)?

Rebuilt at Roanoke's East End Shops, the same shops that built the Js in 1950. The Tuscan represents the stripe on the passengers locos (Ks and Js). Blue is Conrail.From what I have read the Maroon is to represent the N&W.
