EMU's

As you said 'origin' does not matter, I presume you mean prototype, in which case, starting local (i.e. Aussie prototype), I'd definitely suggest searching the DLS for 'Sydney', 'Brisbane' and 'Perth' - EMUs from all three cities are easily found there (there's too many to type up individually here sorry! :p). Failing that, type in 'Cityrail', 'QR' or 'Westrail' and you should be able to find them easily enough. Make sure all boxes are ticked from Trainz 1.3 and up, as some of it is old legacy content (they should run in later versions without trouble though).

As for Melbourne, I know there was a beta version of the Melbourne Connex X'trapolis EMU available on the Victrainz website, (http://forum.victrainz.com.au/) but I have no idea if that's still there or not (in any case, it would require registration there before you could download it).
