Elevated Multiple Industry Basic

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is such an asset as a "Multiple Industry Basic" that can be RAISED up?

I would like to be able to unload a woodchips car and have the chips fall thru a "grate" thing and make a pile underneath the track, so to speak. In other words, I want the track at a higher level than the pile of chips.

I can make this sort of set up with a grate that unloads coal, but not with woodchips, and then again it's only for 3ft NG.

I would really like to be able to unload gravel or stone, but a woodchips grate would do fine.

Thank you very much for any info you can share or perhaps even a KUID.

Elevated MIB

Phil,

Thank You VERY MUCH for the kuid! I DL'ed it and will give it a try.

Thing is thou, I have tried repeatedly without success to program the "Multiple Industry New" asset mostly I think because there are FOUR sections in it that must be all be in agreement. I have spent countless hours trying to load/unload products and haven't figured out yet what exactly it is I'm doing wrong. The instructions in the New MIB itself are more or less straightforward, but are a little "kryptic" and I'm having trouble interpreting exactly what they are talking about. It seems easy enough and thought I got it right on one occasion, but the gondola car only made a swishing sound when loading or unloading. The car itself did not fill up or empty anything, only made the sound of it filling or emptying.

This next time with this new MIB you suggest, I will try using a stock Auran gondola, like the Chippies Chips car and see what happens.

If you get to read this, maybe you could suggest something as a fix for the difficulties I'm having with this "New MIB".

Even if I can only load/unload woodchips, I would be one happy boy! This is the only asset that has a GREAT function that I would REALLY like to use.

Best to you guy!

Its Working

Hi Phil and wmmeyer,

I was able to get the kuid you suggested to work aok! Thanks! But, not without going to the site mwmeyer had a link to! Thank You both again. Really made my day!! I slapped myself in the face, I couldn't believe the cars were unloading! I had been trying off and on for 5 years to make that MIN work. Now, when I really need it, finally succeeded.

Was able to get the MIN to Unload woodchips, which I needed first. The Loading part will no doubt work also. What surprises me is the amount of math you must do to calculate EXACTLY how much to set each section too, Processes especially.

Phil, I will go to the link you suggest anyway.

You Guys are GOOD! Thank you my friends. Take care.

I have made up a simple list of how to set up a MIN.

First you need to decide what it,s to do.
#2 choose the rolling stock that will carry the product your MIN will use.
#3 add the product to a queue (queue 1 for loading queue 2 for unloading)This is done to keep from the cars from unloading just after loading. Set size that the min will produce to max and a lessor for consuming.
#4 Go to product tab click on product and change load size,( with correct category of product. tonnes, liters, items) click on none add rolling stock that you have chosen for that product.
#5 Go back to queue click on product add the initial amount of product to start with.(this should be set to max for producing, less for consumming)
#6 go to track tab do what it said.
#7 go to processes Add the product to either product/consume or both set to max either way.

The only problem i have is how to get woodchips & lumber to load at the same IND?????

If you want to raise a multiple industry
1) Lay the MI track.
2) Raise the ground till the MI is at the height you require.
3) Use "Hole Punch" to make the ground under the MI vanish.
4) Use a spline or splines such as "Asphalt Parking Lot" (black) or "UK Tunnel Grass Spline" to simulate the ground at the height you want it to be under the MI.
5) That's it.
