Editing Track Configuration Files

Hey all,

I'm wondering if it's possible to reconfigure the textures of the "Greenery" / "Tundra" tracks for my own personal use? There is a ballast texture that I would like to use on one set of the tracks, but it has the wrong type of rail; the rail's dull and rusty but I would like to use a shiny rail. Is it possible to "switch" out the ballast of a shiny-railed version with a ballast texture that I find more suitable? If so, how?

Cut-Copy-Paste another texture, or paint your own, using MS Paint, Irfanview, Gimp, Paint.net...etc...
