East Kentucky

As far as I understand this, Dermmy and Pofig are updating the existing EK3 to an improved version with Pofigs trees. And this version is coming soon, as Andy pointed out above.

You can tell it from the screenshots which trees are used; the fully 3d ones are from Pofig (seen in drstrachs screenshots) and the other not-really-totally-3d trees (like in my screenshots) are referred to as "billboard trees" and those are the ones used on the first version which is already released on Andys webside.

I hope this helps a bit.
:)

It helps a bit. Just one more Q to finish up here. Is the Dermmy-Pofig Joint Venture a 2010 or 2012 project?

I have Dermmy's EK3 with Trunda's billboard trees and shrubs, and it's going to take a lot to do better than that. That's why I want to try the new joint venture release out in 2010 so I can see for myself. I don't have 2012, neither do I ever see myself buying it, so if it's a 2012 project I'll never know.

The joint project is Trianzbuild 3.3 - TRS2010 SP3 (Build 44088)

The hold-up is trying to sort out some content problems in TS12...

Andy ;)

Andy. I think you should reinstall the TS12. I have no problem with the transfer route in TS12 and no problems with the content. I downloaded all the updates from the DS and I have no errors. Several appendices show warning but they work.

Hi Pofig

I have testers with the same problem. We have discovered a packaging error at TrainzUp. I have sent PM with details.

Andy

Andy, all of my recent screenshots are from the TS12. Map runs faster than that of Billboard Trees and I have no problems.

Cheers,
Stan

Thanks Stan - this is getting strange. I have testers who can get no trees to appear on the map in TS12 and who can find no 'EK' trees in any current TrainzUp download. I have 'EK' trees but despite downloading and installing all current TrainzUp files (overwrite all) I appear to still have the original TS10 versions, not the updates. I thought there might be some packing confusion with the content, but Pofig assures me all is well and your results indicate he is correct.

Why the content appears in some TS12 installations and not in others is a mystery...

Andy

Probably a completely stupid question but in surveyor or driver mode? TS12 has some terrible memory problems with speedtrees in surveyor.

I run the map in both modes, but adding a few SpeedTreez causes the disappearance of trees, helping restart of the map, though it is quite cumbersome.
Shall wait for patch, again.
Cheers,
Stan

Andy, downloaded files must unpack and install only one. Then delete the files before unpacking the next archive.. Files in the CDP in the archives have the same name. When unpacking all archives at once, some files will be replaced.

Trees are a series of EK, archive ST8
Pine series EK Archives EK_S1, EK_S2

EK3 in TRS2010 with Pofig trees looks awful good on my plate. I am very happy with everything about it.
