East Kentucky

Placing bets now - the most downloaded route of all time (surpassing Ohio Central I made easily but still proud of the download total of that BTW)?

No doubt about that. Ohio Central remains my favorite at the moment. I replaced every stinking "Speed Crapz" with Trunda and Jankvis stuff, and it's running great in 2010 compat mode.

Give me East Kentucky and my converted, re-done Ohio Central and I can delete TRS2006, retire, and collect my pension.

BTW Andy - that country road disappearing up into the mountain is a nice, artistic touch.

One thing I'm confused of is why the trains are on the left-hand-side?? Doesn't America still use the old system?? Jamie

Guilty as charged M'Lord! I had the train posed on the 'wrong' track for the top screenie, shoulda moved it across for the second shot...

Thanks for all the comments folks, really appreciated ;)

Put me down for $20!

This route to Trainz, will be the equivalent of stumbling upon the lost gold of the Incas.

Truly magnificent, Andy!

I am hurrying lol

I posted the first screenshot from EK3 on December 8th last year. I hope to have a beta of the complete route in the hands of testers exactly one year later. Will it be released before Christmas? Honestly not sure, but worst case scenario is very very early next year...

Andy ;)

I would have said that the screen shot was showing the helpers pushing a train up the hill.

Hey Andy I saw some thing in the background. On one of the mountains it just plain texture of u notice that:o

Lots of 'just plain texture' in the background Andrew - with 'Good Weather Fog' cranked up it is not all that noticeable while driving. The eye gets drawn to the detail in the foreground, you don't really see all that much farther back. Mostly the trees blend into the texture pretty well, there are only a couple of places where there is an obvious line. If your computer can handle the polys there is nothing stopping you copy/pasting more forest onto the distant hills...

Andy ;)

These three screenshots are from Hazard Yard in the session 'Endless Coal' which will be released with the route.

Speaking of release, the route and two sessions will be out in time to slip into your Christmas stocking, well maybe not for New Zealanders...

Andy, that's so good to hear! I love this route (1/2) and I'm sure 3 is going to take up 85-90% of my Trainz-time.
I guess I'll have to put my other stuff on hold for a while.

Absolutely stunning screenshots Andy! Thanks for getting this out before Christmas, which will have to wait now until I get back from Christmas. Well something more to look forward to!

Regards,
bryinmich

Happy holidays guys and gals!

Fantastic stuff Andy, can't wait for this route :Y:

We might as well dress you up as that big red fellow with the white beard ;)

Tom :)
