Eagles Pass WIP Screenshot Thread

Another week has gone by and its time for another update on the Eagles Pass route. This past week, There was not much accomplished as I was busy cleaning up the minor damage that my wife and I had from hurricane Irene for a couple days. I just sent the route over to Andrew just a few minutes ago, So he will have the route this week as he will be doing his thing. PLEASE NOTE - The update for next week will be sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday

Anyways, Here are the 2 WIP shots for this week which includes a shot of the first town on the route which has a 4 track yard. The town is not completed at this time and that is why its not a shot of the complete town.

Weekly update - This past Sunday, I got a email from Andrew stating that he was going to have the route for another week for his thing, So I havent been able to see what he has done. Therefore, I have no new screenshots to post this week.

However, I can report that I did a 30 mph run on the route which would take 2 minutes per mile and it took me about 35 minutes to run the route from end to end. That means that there is about 17 to 18 miles laid out with a good chunk of the route with the scenery completed.

Like I said in my original post. Andrew and I are looking somewhere between 75 to 125 miles on this route and both of us are in no hurry to finish this route. It will get done when it gets done and when both of us are happy with the outcome of this route.

Hopefully, This coming Monday. I will have some new WIP screenshots to post.

I like the ground texturing, excellently done, looks very good guys for your first layout, keep it up, we can never have enough American routes to play on.

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

This would work well for CSX mainline running and other great shots as sometimes it better for the trains to be the main attraction.

Sorry ladies and gents for being a couple days late on the update this week, But I have been under the weather with a cold (still am). Not much to update this week except one new shot of the route. I hope to bring a better update next week at some point.

Sorry ladies and gents once again for being late for the update that I was suppose to give you on Monday, September 26th. Over the last week, This cold has pretty much kept me in bed. This is only the third time since last weekend where I spent some time online and I am still not feeling great.

Anyways, As for a little update. Andrew still has the route and has been working on it when time permits him to. It will most likely be sometime late next week when I will feel good enough to do any work on the route, But only after Andrew sends me the updated version of the route. I am including 2 WIP shots for this update. The shots were taken in the town area and the name of the town is called Kingston.

At this time, Im not sure when I will do another update, But I am hoping that I will be back to normal a week from this coming Monday and I will have a couple more WIP shots to post.

On a final note, All I can say right now is that I am sick of being sick.

Take care and have a great weekend all.

This reminds me of the BNSF Southern Transcon (Ex-ATSF Main Line in the Southwest).

I don't know why, but this route reminds me of the BNSF Railway and the company's Southern Transcon (former ATSF main line) in the southwestern part of the country. It looks and has the feel of the Southwest along the BNSF's former Santa Fe main line. But hey, that's just me. Whatever your think the reminds you of, is your opinion, it's just that it looks very similar to the Southern Transcon to me.

No problem Andrew. I think by the end of the week, I will be ready to put in a some time on the route. Im starting to feel better, But still not 100 percent.

Great screenshots by the way.

The route is suppose to have a southwest flavor of the United States.

I am really liking it alot. Is there a eta for this to be done?

At this time, There is no date planned for a release. Andrew and I are still a long ways off from finishing this route. The bottom line is that the route will be release when both Andrew and I are happy with the outcome of the route when it comes to how many milles the route has and the kind of detail that we would like to get on this route. As long as we are not happy with the outcome of it. It wont go for a public release.
