I have deleted my consists beyond where my junction arrows stop appearing or should i say they are there but as a shadow. put in a built in consist tried a drive for a few seconds, saved and reloaded. still same problem. so i dont know what to do next. something is wrong after a certain point in my route and i cannot track it. On the map in driver part of my uk quad track has a short section missing out of 1 track in two or three places. Could this be write error beyond a certain point. and how do we fix it. I reckon Auran should pay us to use this. But i am determined to get this to work.

Check the route for points/switches with missing deps/faulty. If you have you'll have to delete them in the config file if they're not repairable.
Dont forget to replace them in surveyor.
I had something similar, faulty points so they didn't show in surveyor or driver, place new points down and get 2 faded red arrows.
Not a route you've imported from 2006 is it?

thanks for ideas, this route is new for me on 2010. going to be pretty tedious
doing all my points again as my route is huge been at it since june. Dresden to Barcelona albeit compressed but it covers 200plus baseboards. I think i will tackle this a bit at a time. and keep testing driver as i go to see of it saves and reloads with my turnout arrows.

tried that it didnt work, next thing delete a baseboard and replace not great drama i suppose not in complex spot.

On 2010 you can use replace asset tool. Saves a load of time.
You say the route is new to you in 2010, did you import it from 2006.

My route is all my own work. tried deleting a section and putting it back in, didnt work either. have not tried a built in route yet to see if you get the same problem. might try that now.

Some of the built in scenarios are faulty, apollo bay, banks heath.
What I try to do is get the route right in 2006 and create a cdp then send it to 2010.

ok that sounds like a good idea. do i send my route to you. hope i can figure out how to do that. also did try to open the cfg file but says windows can not open this file blurb.

I'll pm you my e address.
In 2010 cm use the my content option. It should bring your route up, r/click, use save to cdp and send to desktop. You should be able to send it as an attachment.
Another thought, can you set your comp up as a dual boot operating system.
Vista or win 7? Run vista with trainz associated programs (it ran ok on vista).
Then win7 for other applications.
