Drive Schedule/Schedule Library (TRS2009)

I am relatively new to Trainz and operate TRS2009. I believe that I understand the concept of Drive Schedule and Schedule Library. What I am stuck with is actually finding out where the command to create a library is located. What I have learnt from reading the many, very informative, threads and forums, is that the answer is out there somewhere, unfortunately, despite spending many hours searching, I am unable to locate it. I should be grateful if someone could advise me, in a step by step method, as to where I can locate the application that lets you create a library of schedules that can then be called when the Drive Schedule command is selected when in Driver. I believe that I have looked everywhere when in Surveyor.

Hi

You can add the Schedule Library, and many other rules, from the Edit Session Rules button. I don't have 2009 installed now so I can't be specific but it's usually one of the buttons at top left. When the box opens, click on the Add button at the bottom left and you should then get a list of all the session rules that you have installed. The list is in alphabetical order so either scroll down or type schedule into the search box and you should see Schedule Library listed. Highlight it and click the tick button and it will be added to your session rules.

Give any schedules that you build a clear descriptive name as it can soon get confusing when you have a large number of schedules built up.

When you use the "Copy Commands From" driver command it is usually better to use the insert option rather than the append one as you can get odd effects using append.

This is a really useful rule and saves a tremendous amount of time if you are setting up timetables for a route such as the ECML where there is a frequent suburban service all running more or less the same route.

Hello Brian,

Yes, this is what I thought. I have seen a number of posts/threads that suggest that you should look for the Schedule Library in the Add function of the Edit Sessions Rules application. For some unknown reason I do not have the Schedule Library option showing in my selection.

schedule library

In surveyor open main menu, then edit session, then add. Scroll down it's there.
Once you've done that go back to driver commands open that up and tick copy commands from.
You then need to add a list of commands as needed into the schedule library.

Strange, either use the DLS and search under rules and get it from there or use your Cm , keyword schedule should bring it up.

Brian, Fran1,

Now that I know that it is not me looking in the wrong place I am happy. This is exactly where I thought that Schedule Library should be located. I will now use other options to find it and, hopefully, get it.

Thank you for your time,

Regards,

Graham

Brian, Fran1,

Just a quick note to confirm that I have now been successful in downloading the Schedule Library; it is working well. I was able to download it from www.js-home.org/trainz

Your guidance was very much appreciated.
