Drive Schedule and Schedule Library

Could someone point me to a source of info and how to use:
Drive Schedule rule
Schedule Library
Schedule rule

I assume I can make a canned schedule and then have a train drive the schedule so I don't have to type all those commands in each time.

I use the schedule library, makes life easier.
Go into edit session then add, add schedule library. Driver commands, tick copy commands from (library/driver).
Highlight the schedule library then click edit. Now name 1st set of commands load at /// industry. Add any commands to take consist to industry and load and return if needed.
As many sets as you want just name them so you know what they do thats the important bit. ie load lumber or woodchip or unload logs at /// industry.
Visit js.home.org/trainz for a detailed and probably lot clearer explanation.

To make it a bit clearer, open edit ssesion click on add and select the schedule library rule. Now click on edit and add schedule. Give it a name and place the driver commands into it. Click ok then open the driver commands rule and make sure copy commands from is ticked. Now in your drivers set up you add the copy command from to the driver, picking the library and selecting which of the saved schedules you want.

'navigate to' problem

I am attempting to start a train in a portal and have it drive through the route to another portal, using the 'navigate to' command. that's the only command I've selected. The train starts out then eventually comes to a halt.

I thought maybe the consist was too heavy, but don't think that's it The grade where it stops is negative, anyway.

Any idea what could cause this?

Gary,

Check your direction markers, switches, and track connections. This is indicative of a broken line somewhere. Check the train messages in driver. They may say something like unable to plot route, etc.

Hi guys, I am using Traniz 2004 and I have a problem using Schedule Library. When I click the button "Add schedule" I get this message.

"A nonfatal error occurred

empty string at parameter 1

Stack dump:

function $void@Menu::AddIthem (string, GameObject,string,string), line -1
function

$void@CopyCommandsFromComman::AddCommandMenuIthem(DriverCharacter,Menu), line 31"

Could someone please bring me some light in this matter?

Henke,

The rule maybe for newer versions of Trainz such as TRS2006. See if there's an older one on the DLS for TRS2004.

I will try found an other. But the rule is working in Berlin U-bahn as I have installed in trs2004. So I guess it must be my own fault that it doesnt work this time. Some other suggestions?

Hi Bob,
Yes, it is certainly possible to make a canned schedule and then it is available to use for any train you wish. I have recently divided a large route into small sections with "Drive to....." and "Drive Via.....",etc commands all packaged into library packets which can then be packaged into larger packets to make a whole of route schedule. A visit to the website linked in an earlier post might help you get more information.
And for those who doubted it does work in Trainz 04.

Cheers
Russell.

Hi I was wondering if someone could please help me. I'm attempting to make a drive schedule for my own created route in the latest version of trainz for the IPad however I'm unsure how to go about. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hey guys, thanks for the tip on the schedule, I found it plus another thread on it. I was wondering if I was being a weenie and just not seeing the stuff on schedule library in the manual but a pdf search shows it doesn't exist. All worked like a charm. Cheers.
