What a struggle! My experience is limited to TRS2004 and what follows might not apply in TRS2006:
1. In TRS2004, downloaded rolling stock nearly always appears in the list of names in Railyard but sometimes it isn't displayed as an image. That usually indicates missing rolling stock parts. So is the name of the relevant item listed for you in Railyard and just the image not shown, or is the name missing? That might give an expert a clue as to what is happening.
2. In TRS2004, after trying to view rolling stock in Railyard (or anywhere else) and then closing TRS2004, any problems are listed in C:\Program Files\Auran\TRS2004\Cache\Logs\log0.html . You can open that file by finding it in Windows Explorer and double-clicking it. It will be displayed by your web browser program. Is there a similar file in TRS2006, and if so does it list any errors after you try to view the downloaded item? If so, post the error messages here and someone might able to interpret them for you.
