Downloading to Rail Yard

Okay, I have made a step in actually getting to download in my CMP now, but when I download the train and I click on View In Rail Yard, it never goes to there. Meaning the Trainz either freezes or whatever else its doing.

Assuming that Trainz keeps running and you don't get any error messages, the most likely reason for a downloaded rolling stock item not appearing in Railyard is one or more missing rolling stock parts dependencies, such as an engine spec, engine sound, interior, bogey, pantograph, horn sound etc.

In TRS2004 use Trainz Objectz to list missing RS Parts. Sorry, I don't know about TRS2006 but I think there's an option in CMP (have a search of the forum, it's a very common problem).

Okay, well I have 2006 it seems like 04 works fine for everyone LOL...........This is what I am doing now, I just downloaded everything user Magicland has for right now.....Now how can I put the trains into the Yard on Trainz? I was told to see if they are open for edit and press ctrl-m

Very sorry mate I don't know. Have a look through all the CMP and "missing asset" threads on this forum, it's bound to be mentioned. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of TRS2006 might post a reply here too. Hope you get it fixed. - John

Well if theres anyone out there that can help me with my problem please I would appreicate it. I have Trainz 2006, I have Windows Vista Home Prem. I had sooo many problems accessing my Download Station/CMP I couldnt download a damn thing. But for some reason last night I was able to download. Now here my problem, I cant seem to get the trains into the Rail Yard, on the CMP the trains I downloaded, nothing is missing.

I was told to see if they are open for edit and press ctrl-m

If you open CMP, one of the tabs should be labelled "open for edit" - select this, the select anything in that screen (ctrl+A) and then commit (the ctrl+M bit).

I can't really understand (unless you used FTP) how the trains would appear here, but it is a good place to start looking.

Have you Committed it? You can set up CMP to Automatically Commit , but if you have it in CMP right click "Edit" and then click "Commit".Then it should show in Railyard.

i cant view it..........i dont have permission..........yeah i register..........yeah i informed helpdesk

Have a look at post#2 in this thread. Although the thread is about TRS2004, that post is about CMP and TRS2006! Hope it helps a bit, John

My post :D (reproduced below)

You are probably missing dependencies. Fire up CMP - you can search for all objects missing assets by clicking the tab as I have in the screenshot.

Select "dependencies" and view them in the main list. If any are marked DLS, move them into the DLH and click start to download them.

looky here:

Another possibility is that there is an error in the asset, simply preventing it from working. In which case, select "view errors", and if you know how you can fix them, or ask here for more help.

Did you say you'd tried looking here:

I did mention in the other thread (see above) that the item could be faulty (look for a red !)
