downloaded new locomotives from world of trainz

recently brought and downloaded two loco's from 'world or trains' and every thing went in like clockwork, went into surveyor saw them in nice red capital letters, so as to find them, in your rolling stock section, but click onto them, and click onto a track, nothing happens, ie, they are there in name only not the real thing, can not figure it out,!! wonder if any one out there has the same problem and a fix!!

in compatibility mod
windows 7, 32 bit

If the name of the item is showing in red, the asset is faulty.

The only way of dealing with that is to find it in Content Manager, right click it, and click View Errors and Warnings to get the details of the errors, then fix/wait for a fix.

If it is not appearing in red, and still will not appear, there is a good chance that it has missing dependencies (same process as above, but choose View Dependencies then View in Main List instead of View Errors and Warnings)

You say it downloaded like clockwork.

Perhaps you also have to download one of these?

Downloaded new locomotives from 'World of Trainz 'up date'

found out what the problem was, for got to down load 'EMD SD60 Dependencies' which then showed up. But only one loco. the other one has disappeared some where, also there is a whole lot of little thing missing with it, ie 'incab' starting and all other features dont work when clicking around with the mouse.But when You download a message box pops up and says, 'You have selected to install to TS2009. please note that currently 'World of Trainz' locomotives may or may not work in TS2009, continue at own risk.' For me it has half worked. so I'm not sure about the meassage above.But getting on to another topic, I can not see why all these addon products can not have a CD option, and pay a few extra dollers, after-all if all you young blokes and sheila's spend hours and hours in front off the computer making up routes,locos, rolling stock ect,should earn a few extra dollers for your troubles!! for example I just brought Murchison 2 on CD for $45-00 and when you see the work that went into it it is worth every cent. also if you have a slow lousy download provider like I have ($40-00 month for 1GB and then your internet will be slowed) I personally would be better off paying the extra dollers and buying the CD version of any addons. About the last post going in about 3 times thats to do with me not knowing much about computers, and clicking around with the mouse here there and every where.So thats my two Bob's worth (just as well its raining outside) TS2009build 41844

No it's not. He's talking about the Kuid Number showing up in bottom right while in Surveyor. If you put -showkuids in your Trainzoptions text, you will see:

yellow: Built-In content
white: Asset available on the DLS
red: Asset from any third party site and not on DLS
