Download Station

Download Station Issue

:'( The problem is not only with Tickets. I'm also getting the same message that the DSL server is full, try again later. This has been going on for a least five days. Have never had any issues before with TRS2006.

They're trying my patience! I REALLY want to use SI3D's new content, but there are kuids I need from the DLS! They better give us compensation after this whole ordeal! Maybe a free 1-year FCT?

I've tried just about everything, including Download Pro, but the server is not available. (I have been trying for just about a week, it may have been longer.) I started with Trainz with the first community edition and have purchased just about every version they have issued. I currently have TS2009 and TS2010 installed on my computer. My understanding was that they would no longer support Trainz issues prior to TS2009, so when I was unable to access the DLS for a loco that was made under TS2006, I tried a loco that was made with TS2009. Same result. I do not have a first class ticket at this time, although I have had FCTs over the years. I would like to hear from the company representative and would like him or her to advise us if:

1. the company is still in business or not

2. the DLS is available to people without a FCT for the supported versions

3. when the server is expected to come back on line.

Thanks

Download Station is still not working

:'(

Just to let you folks know, I went into my profile and double checked all my info. I then went and updated my password, and that was accepted. I then went back to the download station and did a search and found running gear. I felt the display looked updated, so I was hopeful and tried a test download. As soon as I started the download I got the "Server is full, etc." message. As I have stated, my first class license is currently expired, but this has not been a problem up to now, but I don't think that's the problem because I see messages from people who have active first class licenses and they are also not getting downloads. It may be a regional problem, I am in the north East US. Perhaps there are other servers that are working.

Is there anyone in N3V or Auran, if Auran still exists, that can let us know what the problem is?:(

On the stats on the Forum front page:

Members: 412,232, Active Members: 4,964

In Mid-December the number of members was around 402,000...give or take a few thousand/hundred.

So it is possible that about 10,000 new members are trying to download...thus filling all the open server ports. These new members plus prior members may all be competing for the ports.

This is not a critique of new members trying to D/L content.... but that may be (guess on my part) the reason for the server overload.

Have fun,

I have been enjoying Trainz 2006 for years and recently purchased Trainz 2009 World Builder, which I installed on an external hard drive. The program works fine, but I cannot use Download Station. I purchased a 3-month First-Class Ticket, but when I try to access it, get the message "the server is busy, try again later." This has been going on for three days! Also, the search parameters disappear as soon as I click on them, making getting what I'm looking for very difficult. Can anyone tell me what's going on. Thank you for any help!

have you turned ur fct on in your profile...

cant find installed tracks etc

hi guys and gals.
can anyone tell me why after spending hours downloading routes such as sogo docks appalachian etc and others they appear in surveyor and drive but then says no maps available ?
I have a fct for 3 months downloads working and isnstalling ok so what am i doing wrong?

cheers bob

Two things to check:

1. Make sure the route/session is not open for edit in Content Manager.
2.Make sure you actually have a session for the route - if necessary, you may have to create one, if you cannot find an associated one on the DLS.

Shane

That usually happens if you download a route meant for 2010 and try to run it on a 2009 or below version of Trainz. Make sure of the route version.

Hiballer was correct - this route was created for the 2010 competition. It also requires JVC payware and several items not available on the dls

This Newbie is not going to get overly optimistic

After reading through this thread and poor Michael's plight, I think I'll stay with my TRS2006 version and be happy with whatever content I can scrounge up elsewhere. I can understand the frustrations and I've seen things like this happen before. It's really sad.

All I wanted in the past 48 hours is rolling stock for hauling livestock, but I guess I'll haul cows in those cars that look like they were used in Bavaria back in the '40's. I tried to access the DS from here earlier because I was told I didn't need to buy a FCT, but that downloads would be as slow as mud. My first conflicting information! I've been baptized! :D

Anyway, no response to my search criteria...I was ignored...oh, well!

Just joined the Forums today, so hello all, and thanks for your kind help this far. I will say you all seem willing to help, and that's always nice to see in such a community. :)

Regards,
Kevin aka AlanG4224
