TRS2004 Routebuilder
Looks like even the Station is closed ! What's this all about ? PAY FOR IT AND NO GO ! A bit like BR ! End up walking as usual. I want a refund !!!!

Hi Nicholas,
I have the same problem trying to download using CM2. Sometimes, it works for no apparent reason. Most of the time, it just sits there!
I use Trainz Downloader Pro as a way of bypassing CM2. This is used by me most of the time.
I am sure Auran know about this. They would have to have been on Mars for the last few months to miss it.
It really needs addressing. I am sure that given the huge number of complaints, not all of them have defective computers.

Which, in a sad twist of fate, refuses to run because it cannot find Trainz 2004 on my PC. That's quite logical, because I was 10 years old then and never heard of Trainz.

Hey All
I saw this thread and went to the DLS to check it out. I always download off the DLS using the FTP site option and it worked perfectly as usual. These type of issues sometimes occur because of the permisions granted or not granted with the antivirus application or maybe the browser permissions.

As I'm one having the problem, I would like to point out that the issue came with TS2009.
TRS2007 worked fine, TS009 had the problem.
I'm starting to suspect that this is a kind of IP control that stop connection for multiple IP. This conflicts with the fact that many providers around the world handle their connection as a big Lan and assign dinamical IPs. As soon as the check at Auran recognize more then a certain number of connection from the same gateway the connection is stopped.
Downloading with FTP with TDP is only a waste of band. I don't know how many time I downloaded the same contents because of the fact Trainz Downloader Pro doesn't recognize the new local folder structure of TS2009.

I got it from the 2nd link. The third turns up a 404 and GAURC's site won't load (maybe it's my connection). However, it asks for .NET 1.1.4322. I've got .NET 2.0. Do I have to downgrade? The link given by the installer points to Microsoft's site where I can only find .NET 3.5 SP1.

I managed to get TDP going, and browsed the DLS for some of Jankvis' shrubbery and greenery. However, it keeps saying:
This is the same error I get with my FTP client when I try to download from the DLS using CMP.
Any ideas?

Nick,
Open up the download page for an asset, any one for that matter. In the text is ftp information that has your login name and a very long text and number password. Put in your login name and copy the password into the password field of your FTP clent program.
This should solve the login issue. Make sure you check allow passive transfers if you are using a firewall.
Regarding the DLS issues. This seems to be related to certain assets. I had no problems downloading older things, but some of the newer content can't be reached. It appears there are some technical difficulties with the DLS right now. Hopefully Auran folks are looking at it right now since it's now Monday on their side of the world as well as yours.

In my side of the world, Monday 1a.m. yes. But anyway, I'm trying to download some JVC vegetation. That's not too new is it? And yes, I've copied and pasted whatever Auran gave me on my FTP Details page a hundred times over into FileZilla and it's still a 530 error, no go.

There must be a technical difficulty with the DLS in general because the most recent content, as of the past week is spotty. I was able to download stuff from two weeks ago fine, but some new track is unavailable and so are some roads that went up last week. I think the JVC stuff you want is in the latter group.

Well said ! That's all I want so's I can carry on building ! This is worse than my son on MSN being on this trying to find ways to re-program your PC ! What did we pay for ? A lesson in PC tuning ? I thought it was Trainz . . . Oh It's MY fault . Excuse me . Pardon me for breathing ! If you say something on here there's suddenly 200 responses from all the PC geeks that try blowing your head about how GOOD their PC's are. BIG deal ! Not interested. All we want is a program that works like 2004 version ! That works fine. Might just go back to it cos I'm wasting so much time messing with this altering things that work for no reason when Auran KNOW it's their fault ! Too late everyone - they already got your money . It doesn't matter cos you can't walk down the road and knock on their door. I usually do ! Good luck - don't waste any more money on 1st Class tickets that don't work and don't refund !

Preachin' to the choir! Amen! If I were "King of the DLS" I would get rid of every Painshed skin on there (especially mine), and everything named in such a way that you couldn't immediately tell what it was (HL3d-2TStone indeed!), and everything without a working screenshot.

There's always the fansites.....
Good point. But many assets from third-party sites often require dependencies on the DLS. Either way, you're screwed.
