Download Station Issues - 13/7/2013

There appears to be issues - spotty connection then really, really slow connecting when connected. I went through the trouble of checking my router and everything else to ensure it wasn't on my end.

Yepper's still the same hassle logging in down under too, CMP takes forever to validate my username then tells me i have used my 100MB allowance for today even though i only just got out of bedy bye's and havn't even downloaded anything today. I think it's time for sum one to get a smack on the bottom for all this CMP not working-MP not online-Can't log in without having to re-log in but you have to delete your username first and get your grandmother's father's sisters uncle's mother in law's permission crap. Get it sorted Auran before too many good folk start walking out the door.
Mick.

I will check that, although my connection test tool uses a different method of checking it that CM does not.

However, I've noticed that Network Diagnostics is taking longer than usual to process the checks, but they are still passing (apart from https auran and www.ts2009.com), which tells me there may be congestion somewhere on the Internet or possible problems in the Texas area of the US.

Working daily lately on the N3V wiki, I've noticed a specific pattern. 11:45 am EDST (Boston/New York TZ area) everyday the DLS + N3V Wiki server goes away for over an hour, usually about 1.75 hours.

This I conjecture is a daily backup scheduled for the 1:45 am Local Timezone in Brisbane/Queensland. With the DLS in Texas, the Home site should be coming on as a secondary server and is not. Perhaps a ticket or two will get Mr. Moody's attention to have a backup server and N3V Wiki source server online when passing data back and forth. Data Base switching should be a standard practice, not shutting down the whole site. In other words, I'm hypothesizing some configuration settings got corrupted or overwritten during a system software update and they may be unaware of the scope of the issue.

Given that N3V Wiki Cookies were down for eight days when I submitted a High Priority ticket within hours of it breaking two weeks ago (It'd broken a few days a week before That!)... I conjecture this outfit with it's facination with special new websites and domains is just getting too unwieldy to handle by just one IT guy.

I doubt the man is incompetent, but N3V also hosts some MMORPG games and all those AND the store with it's 200 simulation products on the Simulator Central site are given precedence. // Frank
