download station dead????

Recentaly I have been getting server full. And half the time my Internet still works, twice a... no... 4... maybe 5 not to sure but it get's to be annoying!:n: and some time I get 100.00 kb per seconde(and I don't have a 1rst classe ticket) but no efect the line stay's there, some of my content is only like 70.00 kb so it should of roketed through like no ones bissinus! I also have Shaw High speed internet(the most recent one to boot!) It is hard enough that it stop's working! All togather! My luckiest speed was about 15.00 KB/S.

Did you recently activate a First Class Ticket?

If you did, you may have to reset your password. (Retype your username and password). This will reset the server connection and hopefully activate your First Class Ticket on the server. This is in addition to activating the ticket in your Planet Auran account.

If you still have problems, contact the Helpdesk, and Zec or someone will be able to help you.

No, I do not have a first class ticket, that is the crazy thing? But I also tried to reconect with some result.

I just posted a ticket but am getting the same thing.

Server full, it has been two days now since purchase, so my FCT is still not activated.

When I purchased 2009, my download speed with FCT NEVER improved over 4-10 kbps, assuming the FCT never worked.

Auran ... PLEASE FIX THIS !!!

Yes there might be something wrong with the DLS, I haven't tried it lately,

But the most important thing I have learned is ..... You might not be able to connect and download easily much of the time.

Try at different hours of the day, and you will most likely find a few hours every day when you can download to your heart's content.

Otherwise, you can download by clicking "Download Page" and then click Download using FTP, then you have to save it to a folder the go to that folder and right click it and pick "open with" Content Dispatcher, the choose extract it...

This way you can do one thing at a time only, like the main part of a route or one item at a time... the FTP server is easier to get on than the Download Station. Good luck... And don't forget about trying different hours of the day for the Download Station .... Bob P.

Did you activate your FCT? This needs to be done before you'll see the increased speed.

This is done in your Planet Auran profile under tickets.

Once your ticket is activated, go into CMP and the settings page.
Go to the Internet tab.
Retype your username and password.

This will force an update on Auran's Planet Auran server and, allow your full speed otherwise you'll have to wait 24 hours for the server to pick-up the change.

If you still have problems after this, contact Auran via the Helpdesk.

I've done all you suggest already.

It was my understanding only the non fct servers had a limit. Meaning, theres a whole lot of folk who are downloading

I'll keep trying.

Think of it is paying for the extra petrol (gas) that you use to travel faster. Somebody has to pay for the extra cost of providing the facilities for FTP so why shouldn't it be the people that use it and not lumber those that don't need or use it, with the extra cost.

File servers limited to 3-4kbps? I'm sorry, there is no excuse in this day an age for that at all! Period!

That is not like high test gas, that is like PUSHING your car, and only 10 km a day is ever allowed!!!

Even WITH a fct, I have tried over and over and cannot connect. Where's the high test gas you are talking about?

The whole system is BROKEN and should be revamped.

For what it's worth, I haven't nor do I ever intend to purchase a FCT. That might have been accepted protocol years ago, but in today's internet climate. Register yes, charge for a community service no !
