In my search for a method of getting content from the DLS I turned to my Download Cart. Earlier this morning, I managed to get 12 items into the cart in just under three hours. Quite an accomplishment considering I couldn't get ANY in it yesterday.
Once all the items were in the cart, I pressed the "Download All" button. This, in turn, asked me which version of Content Manger I wanted to use. There were four entries labeled simply 'content manager' in the dialog box that popped up. This was strange because I only have ONE version on my W7 computer - 2010. I chose the bottom one hoping it was the newest one.
Now, the way I remember the Download Cart working was that CMP started and the various CDP files were downloaded and installed. In this case, CM2 started (v3.2) and just sat there looking back at me.
Nothing entered the download window; no activity showing on the LED's of my switch on the wall; and definitely 0% allocated to the executable for the CPU. This, to me, meant that there was nothing going on.
So, my question is, what happened? Why didn't the downloads start? Is my concept of how the Download Cart works faulty?
OR
Is the DLS still messed up? I've tried all the jumping through flaming hoops that everyone mentions as a way of jump-starting the DLS but none of them work for me. Even FTP access using the Download Station fails by either giving me a 'connection reset while accessing' or simply the 'waiting for www.auran.com' down in the status bar going on forever.
EDIT: Even the forum site is very slow to load pages.
