Double Track Plate Girder Bridge

Does anyone know where I can find a double track deck plate girder bridge that will work in TS2010, and TS12? I've been using Maddy25's single deck plate girder (kuid2:124017:25029:1) and doubling it up to create a double track bridge, but the space in between needs to be filled in like most double track bridges that I've seen.

JJS has several 2 track deck plate girder bridges (46819:38130, and 38131), but they don't work in '10 or '12.

Thanks, Joe

They are a 10 second fix Joe - honest! And they are good content, very easy on framerates...

Open for Edit (Ctrl+Shift+E). Double click config.txt. Locate and delete the line 'name', easiest way is to place the cursor at the beginning of the next line and backspace till 'name' is gone. Save and close config.txt. Close the Edit window. Commit the assets (Ctrl+M). Should be good to go...

If you want, clone the asset and remove the rails. I did that for an abandoned siding, but I needed the other track to be active.

Search under username for Bendorsey, he has made just about every type of bridge you could wish for.

Thanks Kev

Unfortunately, most of Bendorsey's bridges are of the 'Buildings/Structures' type and cannot be adjusted. The few of his 'Track' type bridges that I found did not fit my application.

I did a few sidepieces meant to be used with vendel's FMA trackbed. They are both in fixed sections or spline. Let me know if they help.

Speaking of, I have a few versions yet to post...

Ben's an awesome guy to deal with. Ask, and ye shall receive! Tell him what you need and he'll have it cranked out for you in no time. He made two bridges for me that were great! I'm sure he could have a simple spline for you in no time flat.

That fix does work very well, but, unfortunately, this bridge is part of a route (Cumberland to Harpers Ferry) that I plan to make available for download on my website when completed, and I won't be able to use any faulty content.

Thanks for the suggestion,

Joe

I don't think that they will work for my application. Incidentally, you've got some really nice content on the DLS.

Thanks, Joe

I just may contact him if I don't find something.

Joe,

MSGSapper has fixed the JJS bridges and posted them up on the DLS.

John

The JJS bridges that he's fixed are of the through deck girder type. The two deck plate girder type that I mentioned in my above post are still faulty.

Thanks, Joe

This is the bridge that I'm referring to.

What I'll probably do is fire up Gmax and create a bridge deck or sleeper spline that will fit between the two deck plate girders, and upload it to the DLS.

I would again like to thank everyone who offered their help.

Regards, Joe

Joe I agree and that's normally exactly my philosophy. These bridges still sneak into my routes though, mostly because they were on the route way back when they weren't faulty. Anyway I just post the 'fix' instructions in the release thread and although I admit I do see the odd no-bridge screenshot posted, most folks seem to cope with the small config tweak needed.

Thanks to stouthm though for mentioning Bob's fix, I hadn't caught up with that...

Hey everyone I have trainz sim 12. Been trying to find a way to fuel the loco's is there not a way to do this ? I've seen alot of people on videos on youtube click the ? mark button for the properties. but nothing is in there about the fuel levels or sand level for the train(s). I just thought it would be cool to see the re-fueling points actually work like in MSTS.

You're welcome. I did just realize I fixed those JJS bridges a month or two ago and am awaiting approval to upload them to the DLS.

I was just going to mention that maybe msgsapper might update these jjs bridges in the future, but then rrsignal says that he's already done them and is waiting for the DLS approval.

Thanks for your input, Joe
