DOUBLE HEADERS

Guys,

In 2009, I'm double heading two loco's to pick up a heavy load and I want to know if there is a way I can write the instructions in for both loco's so that when the loco has coupled to the load the second loco takes over.

So far I have tried having a wait state on the second loco but the first loco wouldn't couple to it, I have also waited until the loco's coupled to the load and tried to write another set of instructions but 90% of the various commands were not there.:'(

Any ideas????

TIA

Ok I have done something similar. Remember you can only have one driver per train. You need to move one of the drivers to another vehicle. Ex. One driver sets up the train then you use the move to command to move him to say an extra switcher in the yard. Then the second driver can hook up and take off with the train. Carl

One consist, one driver and one set of commands. As stated you must move a second driver (before it is coupled to another engine) to another driverless asset and then back again after its uncoupled. If you want driver commands to stay with the driver then use the "move to train at trackmark" command. Another command to use with this type of situation is the wait for message command. Using this will prevent two engines from being coupled before the driver has moved.
