Dotted rail lines and roads in TS12 layout

Can anyone advise me on this problem.
New install of TS12 the other day so I trolled the DLS for TS12 layouts and downloaded two.

Both layouts show the rail lines and roads as dotted with no details. You can place a consist on the psuedo rails and it works, however the train floats on air well above the ground level.

Rail bridges are also missing. The vehicle roads are dotted but without detail of it being a road and vehicles are still running along same.

I placed an old CDP file from TS10 into TS12 and it showed up as no scenery and dotted rails. As in the other case the trains still worked although they look ridiculous.

I downloaded the layouts from DLS because they stated they were TS12 layouts. Could I have a poorly converted layout and is the only fix to manually replace the dotted lines with tracks? Or alternatively throw it away?

A query on the dotted track gives no name but states "Missing Spline".

Any assistance appreciated as I don't want to accumulate more layouts if all the so called TS12 layouts exhibit this problem.

G'day!

The dotted splines indicate the track or another spline is missing. Does the route have any missing depedencies?

Cheers! :)

Jake.

I wasn't quite sure how to go about the missing dependencies thing but figured it out in DLS. After that the roads and rail bridges made an appearance.

However there was a "kuid" in the list that the DLS said was not there. I guess that could be the track.

How does one overcome that problem. There is obviously something not downloading, but where do you go to next?

That asset may be on a Third Party Site. If you could post it's KUID number here, I'm sure one of the Trainzers here will point you in the right direction.

Cheers

AJ

Stupidly I cleared DLS without noting the number. I went through the missing dependencies thing again but DLS does nothing and will not bring the missing kuid up again.

I'll reboot and try again later and see it that makes it appear.

Thanks to those who replied, much appreciated.

It would appear that there are many traps for young and OLD player with this system.

I did the dependencies search but only moved the route name where the items were missing, to the DLS instead of the full list. After moving the full list of missing to the DLS and downloading, I now have the missing items installed in the route. Tracks are all in place.

The one "kuid" is still missing from the route but I can't see anything missing for now. Maybe it will show up later.

I guess next time I'll be wiser. So until my next problem!!!!

In Content Manger right-click on the route and select 'View Dependencies' from the pop-up menu. The first item on the resulting list will have a grey '?' icon - that's the missing bit. Post the kuid number here and someone will help you find it...

Andy

Thanks Andy for the directions, found the number, if anyone knows where to find it, that would be great.
