Do's and Dont's for Uploading another members route

For the past several weeks I've been updating an older route and thoroughly enjoying myself and I'm thinking about uploading to the dls. I do not want to step on anyone's toes or do something that I'm not suppose to do so I'm asking here what do I need to do other than ask the original route builder for his permission?

Yep even if the config.txt doesn't have any disclaimer about permission or so you still need his

I can't imagine anyone else really needs to get involved other than the original creator and yourself. Should be fine if you get the OK from them.

When you upload a route you do not upload any of the dependencies of that route. So the only permission you need is from the person who originally built the route that you have now updated.

Better safe to ask, even if the config file isn't clear on this -- Most of the time you will get an okay. Etc

I guess you can always post the names of those routes on a seperate thread, and let folks PM directly if there an issue!.
