does trs2004 come with content dispatcher??

I would order 09 if only for the improved code/5m textures/ability to import 04, 06, TC, etc... content with improved error correction (that helps frame rates) but I use windows 2000 (am I correct in thinking you use it too c/o your screenies?) and it won't work on anything less than XP.

Hi Gisa,

Fraid not, I am using XP SP3 and have been for quite a while now. I naver got win2000 because I heard so many negative comments about it, I moved from Win98 straight to XP. I will not be buying Vista either but Windows7 beta seems quite stable so will probably get that one when XP gets too old.

I understand you can preorder an XP to 7 upgrade now, for half of the cost of when the OS is officially released this fall.

It's odd because as soon as I saw your desktop settings I thought windows 2000. Things looked a little different but generally the same. Perhaps it's the specific settings you have going that make me think that.

My computer is about 2.5 years old and begging for an upgrade but I'm in money-save mode at the moment (for school again) and there's no way I'll pay to ship something back to Canada from here (if I buy a desktop that is). I'd consider getting XP (if they sold it) but I won't touch Vista to save my life. I hear good things about windows 7 but as I said, I won't be shipping a desktop back to Canada when I move back in a few years time. I'll try to make what I've got last until then. Hopefully windows 7 will be very reliable and cheaper than when it first comes out...

p.s. FWIW, my best friend (who has a degree in software engineering, worked for IBM and who currently does programming for the Ontario Government) recommended Win 2k to me as he thought it was very stable compared to XP (at the time). That was 4 years ago and I can't say many bad things about it! ^^

I should have said when I upgrade my computer again as well as when XP gets too old. This machine is like the proverbial axe two new handles and three new heads. The box is about all that is left of my original computer and that is about 10 or11 years old.

Yeah, I hear and understand, but you don't want to wait too long! The way businesses are being taken over by the government here, I can't say with any certainty that Obama won't be running Microsoft pretty soon! I can't imagine how much worse a government produced OS would be!
