And I've been messing around with re-skinning/weathering the Ianz Trainz model of the Edmund Fitz, really wish there were some other Great Lakes freighters. Would love to see a Whaleback!!!!

That is an awesome pic. The layout looks great. I'm loving those reskins. I just wish to see more steam era ships in general for trainz. I'm dreaming of a "Liberty Ship" for christmas personally.

Using that Whaleback and something like this

It would be possible to make a very early (~1880's) Great Lakes harbor scene. At this point iron ore was still being mined by hand, and much of the vessel loading/unloading was also done by hand - hard to imagine now.
