DMDrake's Tall Tree site

I have been searching through his site for sets of fields he did some time ago and can't find them. I may well be overlooking something obvious but each sub-menu has been trawled and still looking. Can someone put me out my misery and tell me what they are under?!

David states on his web site that his creations are to be found on the DLS and some items are also on the TPR web site to be found. He used to have d/load links on his Tall Trees web site when creating some items which might not have been approved yet or as a preview (at the time he tried to upload these) but these links were later always removed as far as I remember, once approval was granted.

So, in other words, check his excellent creations there, I know, looking through over 7000 items is a pain in the proverbial but perhaps an extended search might get you what you are after.

Or David, the master, might point you in the right direction if he reads this .

This is, if you are after his downloads. Other than that, I do not know.

Cheers

It may not answer all your question, but the next edition of the Trainz Community News will have a TallTrees update that you should read. The magazine is due out on the 15th April.

You can wait for announcements, or subscribe and download earlier issues from the link in my signature.

Look for "Farm-Country-Field" under dmdrake on the DLS.

These are pretty nice "tiles". I wish they were easier to butt together in that they show a dividing line between them rather then blend together when you group them.

They make for realistic orchards / groves with the variations that were built into them but not so hot in large groups. I'm still using them though as orange groves.

Hello! Farm-Country will yeald all of the tiles including the towns, farms and textures. All this was built for 04 so no telling how later versions will treat them.

Most of your content works 100% fine in native mode, I think there's something like 6 or 7 (a tiny amount) of your assets on the DLS that show errors for various reasons - usually trivial stuff that's easy to fix. So I'd say the chances are that the fields will work fine ;)

Dave, I double checked - you have 73 error'ed assets, out of 8000+ on the DLS (yes, I have them all installed - I find your ground textures are some of the more realistic out there, and I figured ctrl-a then 'download' was easier than trying to pick out the textures :), that's pretty good going. Almost all of those errors are 'can't load texture' errors, which probably means either unsupported texture slots, or textures that aren't the right dimensions. (A couple of your sagebrush texture assets have an erroneous 'many' tag)

Anyway, none of the assets with errors are the ones being discussed here, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Nikki,

I fixed a few of the errors myself with Dave's content. Nothing major to speak of, and the fixes take about 20 seconds each. The many tag is easily removed, and the other actual texture files, or at least the ones I dealt with, were easily washed through PEV's tools.

His buildings work fine as I've used plenty of them on my route.

Considering the assets are nearly error-free, and work in native mode, I extend many kudos and a grand thank you to Dave for his great work.

John

Everything will be fixed soon. Read the next edition of the Trainz Community News to find out why!
